Congrats to the colts boys. Be a great result for them and the club if they can go all the way;

Obviously those few games in the league have done wonders for the likes of Ryan and O'Reilly....amazing to think two of EF best goal kicking small forwards in Ritchie and Blurton couldn't get gsmes today, both were in the top 10 colts comp goal kickers and Ritchie made the colts all stars this week....

As u say 58 good to see some light and hope in what has been a shitty sesson for the club....

That is at least 2 genuine Freo teams to GF day we won't count the dockers in the league

I find it strange that the club has advertised the Colts coaching position. It's my understanding McLernon had wanted to extend his stay but the club was keen to test the market. Purely on results, he's improved and there are a few of his graduates from last year that have played League football

He seems to have developed great rapport and relationships with his young players KCEF, I would think that having him around at the club in some capacity will only aid those young players transition into senior football.

I thought all the colts positions were up for grabs due to the new colts vision next year? Has EF got much say into who gets the nod...thought it was out of their hands.

Be interesting to see how the young EF boys handle the break....they came out fast in the second semi to jump Cl and built up a match winning lead, which Cl did well to chase down but fall short.....obviously O'Reilly is the key up front....though fellas like Blurton,Collard, Lewis, Ritchie etc have been handy up front kicking goals....its a pity the likes of Parfitt, Davidson and Alone went back to country football....if those 3 were playing EF would be dead certs.....

I wonder if woewodin would apply....maybe a stepping stone to reclaim the senior job?????

Sounds like it is gonna be a wet GF...may take out the O Reilly factor here...but saying that the team has been very much that this year in performance....could see Gero boy Nevill kick a few in the wet.....be interesting to see if small goal sneak Ritchie win his spot back....even Blurton for that x factor in a wet game.....might be the difference between a win and loss in the end.

Obviously having a 3-0 record v Cl this year suggests EF have the wood over them....but also means Cl are due a win v EF....be disappointing to slip up now but great to see the young guys get a chance to play in a GF....all the best to them.
