According to the West and 6PR apparently East Freo are talking with Josh Simpson, Brent Staker and Luke McPharlin (coaching Role?)! Early days but hopefully we can make this work for 2016. Exciting times? Maybe?

Whilst the latter two aren't young Custy, both would certainly add some height up forward and back for EF.....good mentors for the likes of Cripps, Ellis, Jupp and Howson at the club...I reckon a forward line of BOB, Hampson, Duffy, McPharlin/Staker and Simpson on song could easily kick 100 plus point scores most weeks....

would have no probs with McPharlin getting managed and not playing a full season...McPharlin's talent, height and experience would be invaluable for even half a season....ditto for Staker too.....hopefully their presence along with Wiley will fast track the development of the likes of young talls in Fletcher, Cronan, Cripps, Ellis and Howson down at EF.

I for one would love to see McPharlin back at the WAFL playing for EF...how good would that be? He's a class act and I have no doubt would attract spectators to the game even if he's on a modified playing programme.

Chit...if Subi were playing at the Chunderdome, Arena Jerkalup or Bogandean that weekend I reckon I'd go along to Shark Park just to watch him play WAFL..

Cmon BC doubt I would pay to go just to watch him! Going back in the day Subi had a couple I would have paid just to watch in Warren Dean at his best and of course Buckenara before that and other opp players in their prime would be M.Rioli, W.Ralph etc but McPharlin isn't in their class I don't believe. Great if he plays WAFL again though as he was a great AFL servant
Beneath the Southern cross i stand, on Bassendean Oval, can in hand, Swan Districts, you Farkin Beauty!

BC,

If he was to return to the WAFL, you would only need to go to your own games as he would no doubt be snapped up by your boys !

no mate...if Subi were playing in the far flung outer reaches as I've set out in my earlier I would go to Shark Park as I live near there and watching MacPharlin would be an added attraction given we don't have the likes of Rioli playing these days. Interesting you mention Mr Magic...growing up in Freo and even being a Subi supporter I can truly say he's my favourite WAFL player of all time..sublime skills and all class.

I agree, he is pretty broken down as well, doubt he would play many games.
