Hi Boys. Meeting at the Thunderdome tonight to prepare the banner for Saturday. What’s your preference Cheats Fremantle or East Fraudmantle?
This is what happens when you decide to employ "creative" accounting methods. Chickens are coming home to roost.
Its easy for you DD. Perth don't have to worry about being audited by the commission. You have to finish in the top 3 for that to happen!

So Ti Em, does that means Subi would be the most audited club in the WAFL in the last 20 plus years?

SS why do I get the impression you are scurrying to claim some moral high ground with your question? I am not the one to ask though. I just heard somewhere the WAFC don't bother to audit the crap teams. Not a follower of the men in yellow and maroon either - how have you gone these last 20 years?

And the timing of this reports release needs to be bought into question also.

After 9 years in the role of EFFC CEO, Todd Shimmon is resigning mid October....not immeadiately...but mid October.....obviously with what's  going off right now.....the timing of this announcement will flush out a few conspiracy theorists.....the EFFC website statement doesn't give much away.........another distraction on the many distractions the players have embraced this year.....transient training sessions, temporary home ground that can't be accessed during finals and now this audit fiasco.....it will either galvanize the group or deflate them during the finals series.

Freezin: he has to give four weeks' notice, so he has more or less resigned on the spot.

I doubt the players will be distracted at all. Shouldn’t effect anything once the ball is bounced. People are overestimating the WAFL and its relevance. Most people won’t know or won’t care. EF should be applauded for getting the WAFL on the back page of the paper!!

CEO did the honourable thing and went instead of Football Manager.

We know the club has confirmed last Saturday's reporting by SportFM that they are under investigation over the 2022 audit. So it is totally understandable that Shimmon has had to relinquish his role as CEO. Certainly hints that the club is about  to be busted by the WAFC and is going to be punished accordingly. An element of sadness to see Todd go. Would turn up to away games, sit amongst the ordinary folk and certainly made himself heard.

The specifics of the investigation that have been reported are curious and how the reporter got hold of such details is a mystery. Doubtful that, as some have suggested, that the source could have come from within the EFFC.

Here what you are saying Ark, but one would think internally EFFC would of known about all this for a few weeks before it was apparently leaked over a week ago. Mid Oct is what 5 - 6 weeks away?.....so unless Shimmon goes on sudden stress leave, it looks like the fella will be in the role for atleast 8 weeks from when the club was initially aware of its indiscretion, probably even longer. Hardly an on the spot resignation mate.

As Dwert says, Shimmon has done the honourable thing and taken the fall.....maybe of his own doing or maybe not.....we all knew a senior head had to roll, be interesting to see if more follow.....especially if the likes of some folk here are on the money stating EF have crossed some very dodgy lines ethically and legally.

It’s my understanding that the super issue has happened but the club is adamant that they’ve done nothing wrong with the other charges and are going through that process. Interesting that the Talent Manager has been put in as the acting CEO and not the Football Manager. Does that suggest that, if the boots ect queries are proven correct, that there may be another head roll? DD would be happy!!
