Freo AFL have a few injuries and Serong suspended so that will weaken Freo WAFL, should get a win over them hopefully for the comp.

Should be a tight game. The Freo players have plenty to play for after yesterdays performance and further injuries while the Peel based players get their opportunity to show there’s depth at the club. EF have been building but this feels like a game they’ll drop. We’ll see

Yes the cohort of Peel and Dockers go in as clear favs. But we are taking up a decent enough side though not quite full strength. Hopefully we can create an upset.

Brisk morning in Geraldton! Apparently Leggett and O’Rielly are outs.

Serious blow to our chances today number one and two leading goal scorers for this season out.

Well done to the players, coaches and staff. Great result today to get a win against a better fancied opponent.

Great to win a crucial 4 points up in Geraldton this arvo. As FF2 rightly pointed out, Peel were missing a few Dockers....but then again the likes of O'Reilly, Leggett, Joyce, English and Meade  are all first 22 for EF. So both sides were under strength at the end of the day.

Nice spread of goal kickers and some accuracy for a change in front of goal. Looked a great contest for the country fans and no doubt all stayed on for the JK and Harry spectacle afterwards.

Touch wood the injuries to O'Reilly and Leggett are just niggles, with the bye coming up, both will be free for the SF game.

A real arm wrestle but Peel not able to gain enough inside 50's in the end. Credit to the Sharks tightened up the defense after an even first half. Harry Marsh and Baskers huge for us. Turner who is clearly now our best first year player once again excellent. Jacko and Janno's tackling superb. Cleaver and Eardley great games down back. Chris Walker continues to excite and Ben McGuire did some nice things. Lawler excellent against his old side. Tom Bennett very good too. Honestly all players deserve credit as Peel with their Dockers were a handful.

Is one person that won't be happy that the Sharkies got up.

Great game- ferocious by both teams. Listened to the excellent 91.3 coverage and the big oval and hotter conditions took its toll- EF, surprisingly, looked to have more run.

There was some players missing for Peel, but EF were missing;

O’Reilly
Leggett
Meade
Schoenfeld
Lester-Smith
Joyce
English

Looks like Murdock will also be added to the list. If the Sharks can get the majority of the above back- they should go deep into September.

I thought Harry Marsh, Baskerville, Turner, Jupp, McDonald and Cleaver were all good yesterday- with everyone else chipping in.
