WP have set a pretty high benchmark with that WCER thrashing last weekend. Would like to think EF with their forward stocks could more then match that 30+ goal scoreline. Who makes way for Jansen, Marsh & Leggett?

Sounds like Tassone has done a knee, ACL?...Last in first out perhaps...Burton & Murphy most likely? Could do with the percentage boost like last year, but it really isn't a good look for the comp.

I agree Freezin, a huge % boost would be welcomed and may well be needed further down the line.  However, as I said in another post, the Eagles WAFL team cannot go on like this.  There is a simple solution, but no one wants to admit it.

58, I assume your referring to going back to distributing their players to their club of origin plus a reverse draft for interstate players, which I think we all agree with, but it will never happen while Nisbett is in charge as he will never admit to a mistake.

Surely the Eagles PR team could spin it in a positive way? They don't need to admit a mistake. They just say " we think our players are better served by being exposed to different coaching styles and get some perspective playing alongside blokes who have to work full time... every other club wants a reserves team, but we think we can do things differently..." Eagles fans would accept that. That is already a topic of discussion on Big Footy. Most of them want as a first preference a stand alone AFL reserves comp, followed by alignment with Perth. Failing that, seem to accept that distributing players through the WAFL is better than the current set up.

Anyway, back to the issue at hand: EF should be aiming to score a minimum of 6 goals a quarter and anything less than a 100 point win would be disappointing.

That’s what I was thinking SS. As for Nizzie, time to move him on, he’s burnt out.
Agree with all you say Ted.  And as for the Sharks, yes, anything under 100 points will be a little disappointing.  Just so long as they don’t go in too overconfident.

Apparently Will Schofield is coming out of retirement to help his old club.

New mature age recruit!  Quick rebuild, oh sorry transition.

So Tassone has done an ACL and gone for the season, disappointing for the young fella. Eardley out this week- personal leave - so Tassone and Eardley are definite outs, with Jansen and Marsh and maybe Leggett as definite ins. Only one to make way if all those 3 are definite ins. Burton or Murphy? Murphy similar height to Tassone, so perhaps Burton makes way?

With Marsh back, maybe big Eddie makes way, because Dixon can chop out in the ruck supporting McGuire, with Marsh and O'Reilly as the two talls up front. Though I like what Big Eddie brings to the side.

I guess a 100pt win would be expected, especially after last week, can't see a better opportunity then on Sunday for EF to build up a decent %, which will be needed as the season goes on.

Leggett and Marsh in for first run for the season. Jansen also back.

On a hiding to nothing rally but looking at the ladder, percentage is going to be important.
