East Freo had a song in the 80's that went "we are the blue and whites, east fremantle sharks!". Most of it can be heard in the 1985 Grand Final. It was a pretty crap song but I cannot find a proper recording of it anywhere! I sent an email a while ago and they never got back to me. Wondering if anyone would have any leads?

Yes I remember it as their club song, played over the loudspeaker as the teams ran out for the finals circa 1983-87.
Would have began in 1983 when they became the Sharks (previously Old Easts) but must have been shelved in the 90s for the current Sydney Swans copy version.

BH...they originally called themselves "the Flyers" after changing from Old Easts from memory but got such a negative reaction from the footy public it only lasted a few weeks before they went for the Sharks.

There's a few WAFL clubs with copies of VFL club songs although a lot of them are military tunes. WP have the same tune as Melbourne and the Claremont Tigers same as Richmond. Perth's song is the same tune as Adelaide but can say with confidence we were before Adelaide.

West Perth use Melbourne's recording of the song too, I've always wondered if they ever had a different version?
