Thanks Custy.
Hope the GFM site isn’t like the RedCross where they can decide to send the money wherever they choose.

Done - Donation locked away

Unless your in the shoes of the involved I would think its an easy swipe from the outside to disparage the effort being made by the EFFC to maintain forward movement.

But - I guess it makes for continued banter in a footy 'less' world, and allows the crusty to vent.

Good luck to all and stay safe - I look forward to the opening of a season no matter the game number or structure. :cheer:

.

With the WAFC cutting funding to clubs this season in half I don't think EFFC are only WAFL club feeling the pressure of the financial squeeze.

I can’t work East Freo out, instead of setting themselves up financially in the last 3 years they recruit every bloke going around and then when the rainy day comes wonder why they have no money.
Poor management and people giving them cash to spend on players is strange to me, you are paying Leggets transfer fee

Good point actually MO and im not privy to EF's current financial position but recruiting non EF boys the likes of Boekhorst ex SD, Kommer ex EP, Loersch ex SF, Manning ex WP, Davies ex CL would not have come cheaply plus the plethora of Peel boys down there Bray, Winton, Tassone etc plus the drama over summer with trying to gain Leggett's services.
If a club is struggling financially one would think selling off assets (eg players) would be one way of helping with that situation not the opposite in buying them in at a cost? Or just live within your means!

I guess I just look at all the players that got drafted from East Freo and never had the opportunity to give to the club as they were whisked away in their teens plus the fact they're being proactive and not calling in the administrators thereby stiffing mum and dad small businesses who trusted them like another club I can name or holding their hand out to the WAFC. As for a rainy day...who was to know Covid would come along and kill the season along with revenue streams.

All clubs recruit. So a club that was holding up the ladder should not recruit? that sounds like poor management. On field performance effects crowd turnout which effects bar takings etc.
