You have complained constantly about the alignment and now that's gone your still not happy. We are getting approx 6 senior players to help out the younger boys so hopefully we are competitive on the field as well as off. Take a bex and a lay down and actually support the club. :)

I won't defend Grump as he is more than capable of doing it himself. However, why should EP be afforded any consideration given it was East Perth's decision to align the club with West Coast Eagles. They weren't compelled to do take that decision. Therefore, they should live with the consequences of those decisions just as other clubs have had to live with decisions made by their respective boards.

I would also point out that any help EP receives to improve their competitiveness is at the detriment of other club(s).

Too right!

Funny I would thought that my support of the reserves and colts was there to be seen by all, that my support of EP players was apparent all through my posts, that my work for the club for 30 odd years (paid and unpaid) and now my work with the past players was a fairly significant indicator of the support I have for the East Perth Football Club but hey you see it differently and that is your call, I will put my support up against anything you have to offer!

My disdain is abt the alignment and by your nom de plume suggests that your support of the Weagles ia ll that matters to you, my continued disdain is abt going out and getting players who often are not worth a pinch of the proverbial and the consequential push of EP developed players being held back by some misbegotten notion that they aren't good enough, let them show it next season and then if we need to bring a player in then sobeit. Also my disdain is for a management that gets themselves and the club out of the poo financially in a less than acceptable manner but better than another club and then embarks on the same path to financial ruin. Bronte is not going to pump more money into the club or maybe he will but paying for players like pettifors and others is just dumb not all of them are Pickerings or Perry's most are muppets chasing a quick dollar!

See you at the next busy bee or a saturday getting things ready for the days game!

This first recruit looks like the type we need, talented boxer and contested ball animal. I think Barnard knows the group at EP is young and a tad soft. We need mature hard players to help the talent evolve at EP. I don’t see 6 recruits as excessive by WAFL standards. I would be interested to know who Grump and others think are ready for WAFL league football.

Can anyone remember the last time 6 Victorian recruits (as Barnard has said in interview) came into a club in one summer?
That is 6 less spots for local EP zone lads to get a game...not unlike an alignment side really!

BH not sure how many in one hit for either club but i recall working at an EF vs EP game at moss street where 22 or more of the players were not WA players and it was pretty well split between each time.

Grump, not sure why you had to explain what you do for the club, I weren't questioning that. I too have been there quite frequently, albeit not as long as you. What I was suggesting is if you truly love the club then stop the negativity all of the time about WCE , management , obtaining players , funds etc. True supporters do as you have done over the past years, but take the good with the bad. Yes I do go for the WCE, but also the mighty Royals, win or lose and no matter who is playing or coaching the club. Have a good day!

Swans have recruited 6 or more from EP in recent times Beas. Is that 6 less Swans kids getting opportunity? Are Swans like an alignment side?

Grump that looks ordinary on paper mate, the WAFL doesn’t need EP getting flogged every week. EP is the only hope the WAFL has for one last bright era.
