The colts game was for 3 quarters a contest of great endeavour, hardness and running. I understand both teams were depleted but as we went into the last stanza I along with other folk expected it to go down to the wire but it was as tho' the swans boys hit a brick wall. From my view point I thought that the Swans boys did not make good use of the their CHF Ness, he presented and made a contest but was at times ignored but what would I know. I really liked the efforts of Gupanis and Redhead for EP.

The reserves promised at lot but was a very one sided contest and Swans deserved their win. I was a little disappointed by what I would call a cowardly act by one Swans player, hitting a player from behind after the ball had left the area is not what I expect in EP Swans games. Ye we have had a few that have done the same and I would never support those acts.

The league game was just another example of the type of play we put on the park against a side that wanted the ball that much more. Once again the EP players tried and gave it their all, Stan Shayne and Scott were there and giving it everything.

BOG for me was Cary, he set the win up nothing less that a dominate performance!

Kristian Caporn had a sensational last 15 minutes in the ressies kicked 3 goals and a point.Unfortunately with a few East Perth boys leaving the depth in the ressies is being tested.Had to feel sorry for Gorter and Blee as the backline was definitely too small but unfortunately with shaggy injured and the Eagles requiring all the backline talls it left us vulnerable.Depending on injuries and who the Eagles requires it makes it a challenge to play a balanced side..East Perth had too many talls in the forward line and Jones is being wasted with limited time in the ruck but the Eagles are pulling the strings.

Your colts looked good yesterday Grump. A couple that caught my eye for their strong marking were #21 & #31 although I did get them confused at times. #7 and #9 also caught my eye, both looked composed with ball in hand. Redhead wasn't as big an impact on the game as the last time I saw him play. Has he stagnated in his development or just one of those days?

Now having read your summary maybe my black n white goggles were on Grump but I didn't feel Redhead had the same dominance as the last time I witnessed him play. Maybe I'm wrong, was super impressed the first time I saw him. His effort levels that evening were pulsating.

too little to late comes to mind!

4 talls with 2 worth a pinch Wileys nephew should down at EF and the other should be in D grade that would make his 23rd club. Jonesy is the best one we have and should be no 1. More than a little miffed!

I really liked the first three quarters and was pleased with our last but perplexed at the drop off by your boys. Goggles will always do that, have a good Sunday and be safe
