Firstly let me say that today I watched a couple of very good young WA footballers display the wares.

The games was a typical hard fought derby colts game with each team having roughly the same opportunities throughout but the EP boys just had something in the last stanza.

For WP Hinchliffe was outstanding, hard boy who is able to break tackles and deliver the ball with quality to his team mates.

EP were once again served well by Dobson, Wright and Di Placido with Bayok, Russo and Lewis providing good support.

At the end of the day I think that the team has benefited from being allowed to play and not worry about mistakes or rotations that are unnecessary.

Well done to all the players and especially Daniel Russo who has battled injury to get his second game under his belt, also Hodgy and Kiz!

Good comments Grump, I agree Hinchcliffe was excellent. He is a mature body early so it's like a man amongst boys. Hard to gauge how good he may be in the future against stronger bodies. Good two weeks from the colts well done.

interesting to see Hinchcliffe didn't get an invite to the AFL combine......I wonder if he doesn't get drafted this year that he will mover over to cricket fulltime?....noticed he has been selected in the WA under 19 cricket team just recently.....
