R2019: How do you know whom the traitors are? EP have had so many positions on the alignment since 1999 -- when they opposed it in a mail out to all members -- to today's party line at the other end of the spectrum. You EP blokes must be getting confused indeed? I must say, from my point of you, you can't support something simply because it wears blue and black.

Ark, you have your opinion and in many ways lots of EP folk will agree with you and the others, but I support the EP players, those who have come up through the ranks from colts and play through ressies.

I was enormously proud yesterday to see Tommy Shanahans play his first league game ( and I know all the rubbish abt where will they all be next and the following years so please don't recycle all the crap). The same as I was proud to see Marty Zambotto and Clayton Giblett play ressies.

I can and will support the players and the club through that process and will be pleased to those players play well.

Grump: I understand. I sympathise with your position. I just do not think EP fans should refer to their fans as traitors. Hence my remark to R2019 Do you think the issue will even be discussed at the club's next AGM?

I think traitors is to nice a term for them Ark. You always stick with your team thick or thin, if your not happy fight for change and support your boys until the bitter end. I wouldn't spit on them myself, good riddance to bad rubbish.

Larry: Incorrect -- the board has sold EP tradition down the river, which explains the position of those whom want nothing to do with the club. If you are going to back the board irrespective of its decisions, you need to have another sherry. I opposed Subiaco merging with the Eagles in 1988, and if we take on the alignment at any stage, you will not see me supporting the club. Claremont and South Fremantle ended their marriages to AFL clubs, because of the deep divisions it created, EP should do the same. Anyway, nothing will change at that club unless people like you stop going.

Whiskey on Sunday good buddy. I have outlived plenty of presidents and board members and Allah willing I will see this mob out too. But as long as my club exists in any shape or form I will be there hell or high water. Call me a sentimental old goat but I love East Perth I have no say in its direction but what years I have left are made more enjoyable by a trip to the footy now and again.
