the detoriation of the EPFC has begun and experts are suggesting that unless some form of antibio-afl is develop soon, within 5 years another club may catch the malady and that clubs existence may become subject ot the same symptoms and prognosis.

Last night I was told that at least 35 to 40 players from 2012/2013 had left the club and it was thought that of last years GF team there would be abt 12-15 left at the club.

The Smiths, Johnsons, Lees, Wolf, payne , Frazer are the ones I am aware of are still at the club. I know that most of last years colts are down and training (and they seem reasonably happy) but the players who made up most of the ressies last year have gone.

It appears that they have gone to Vic, ammo's and one or two to other wafl clubs.

This all I know and as I learn more I will post it.

very sad but also very predictable grump. it's a shame to see a great club like EP heading down this path but we reap what we sow I guess.

Sheezus ! I and all, I would presume, were waiting for the fall out of the excess players from the Ferals. Other WAFL clubs will start circling to snap up the best of the batch, this is where depth can be added to other clubs, which is crucial !

For anyone that knows me, the Ferals are my most hated thing in the world, but I cant help but sympathise with the die hards, I would be in all sorts if it was my Falcons !

this is just the beginning. it will get worse each year or once the season starts, likely worse each month. clearly opportunities will be limited and players will look elsewhere, why wouldn't they & EP people who have shown little backbone in opposing our clubs raping, shouldn't act surprised now. they should take responsibility in enabling the decline. All this chest beating about loyalty and who has got it, is just a farce & shows a lack of guts - thats my opinion and I will stand by it, I couldn't care less who dislikes me for it. I am past the point of caring. Anger and disgust does that to people. Even good decent people.

its going to get messy as the season/seasons roll on. like BC said EP reap what they sow. as an blue&black tragic I don't thank them for it. All I have are the greatest of great memories of my EP and the old Perth Oval days. Had some incredible winter Saturday afternoons down there. Now I wish I bottled it when I had the chance.

I feel for you Grump. Hopefully the club can hang on and get through this and come out of the alignment with some hope of survival.

Not good news at all, but I think even the diehard EP supporters would have seen this coming (I'd hope).

Grump, from your position working with the colts, where does it leave these up and coming players? Surely there are players within the colts system now that are destined for a league position, and even an AFL list?

Normal turnover would probably be five league guys fifteen to twenty reserves and thirty colts over the course of a season and off season maybe more. What makes this year different is that it makes no difference to East Perth we will be stronger than last year. The competition is a farce I'm afraid. Any player that might make a difference to another club has been signed up at EP.

It's a pity these guys are being lost to the wafl system due to peel and east Perth chasing clearance fees, they are now responsible for a heap of blokes leaving wafl footy due to the alignment, great work

Fingers crossed Kyanga and Monteath dont come back to EF......hopefully SF will snap them up......
