it's killing EF colts teams performances that's for sure.....can't wait till the whole state comp thing is done and dusted.....

The EF did have 3 players out from the 18's but I would never have thought that at EF the replacements would not have been able to step up and carry out the game plan. I am rapped with our game and the EF coach Foster made no excuses just was impressed with our game and execution.

The Ressies (largely last years colts) played very well and again the game plan worked a treat. 2 wins great day for me.

All involved that would be in no particular order- Nisbett, Worsfold, Bell, Narkle, Hickmott...

bell doesn't ring a face.who is he.

Gavin Bell ..the WCE development coach!
You should get to know your own clubs coaching staff a bit better chaddy! :pinch:

touch wood then Grump that these boys will be still executing the game plan next year.....kudos to EP thru all three grades for a productive weekend

....back to the drawing board for all 3 EF coaches.....though TBH, Marsh, Jansen, P.Cripps, Allirr and J Cripps are 5 of EF top colts boys and were missed more than the likes of Foster thought.....still a few wins left in the bank....EF will still play off in the colts GF I reckon....

the reserves went from kicking 16.2 one week and winning to kicking 4.15 and losing....kicked 2.7 to EP 0.3 in the first.......had a chance to blow EP out of the game and didn't and paid the price.....

EF league led all day and got pipped.....can't be too disappointed considering EP will be there and there abouts come finals time.....to many close losses for my liking for EF.....but hey that's footy.....just got to wear it on the chin....

Just a question without notice guys. Does Brian Dawson have autonomy and control over his players from the Eagles? I realise if a Eagle is dropped back he must play him but does he make the final decision on how he plays him and where he plays him?

It seems to me, acepting a little bias, that he does have a larger degree of autonomy than I first thought would be the case, Lycett is definitely second ruck, the rest just seem to play their normal positions.

Thanks Grump thats what I thought... As Hutchings didnt play the 1st qtr WP v Subi under inst from the Eagles. Dont ask me why. Under inst from Eagles could only play 75 minutes so Coach kept him out for a qtr.

I have noticed as well when had a Eagles guy in our reserves a couple of weeks ago because the host club had a bye (Perth)
Simon Turnbridge from memory played for WP under instructions from Eagles. Another player played for Peel x Eagles because of the rule re player will play with the bottom side of Reserves. Being 2 players Peel got one and we got one due to ladder positions.

Now I suppose next year the Eagles and Dockers players will not get a game because they will be aligned with EP or Peel so they wouldnt be able to play with another club in the Ressies. Another amendment to the WAFL RULES AND REGULATIONS.

I noticed when I went down to the change Room for the ressies at Half time Turnbridge did not listen to Paul Sanzone's instructions to his team but was with another guy from the EAGLES? Who was giving him instructions.

Now my point is once these Alignments :( start will the WAFL coach EP and Peel have a full input into his side and where, how and time they play? Dont think so and I really think due the number of AFL players they have in the side they will basically be under instruction from the AFL clubs. Just puppets.

Maybe being positive as one person said to me at least the WAFL coach from the G7 will have full control over his selections and have them set in concrete by Thursday whilst the Peel and EP coaches will not really know until in some cases Saturday and he will be dictated to by the AFL clubs...
So we basically have 2 clubs that are AFL reserves side fully under the control of their AFL club. Gee didnt the reserves sides idea get shit canned? Looks like the same thing to me.

And then we have 10/11 players running on who would normally be 10 pointers under the points system but because they are AFL they are exempt and no points are allocated to them.. Gee that leaves a lot of points for the other players that make up the side if you catch my drift.. Bloody good ressies side as well almost a Full league side really.

Talk about domination -Talk about a mess

i agree grump.i think he has had to make a deciision on where to play cale morton.he wasn't looking good as a wing/midfielder/forward and i think he has had to find a position that works for us and that is in the backline.talking about autonomy interesting to read 4 players had limited minutes in the east perth east freo game.schofield and cripps for us and shepherd and brennan for the sharks.seems like the tentacles of the eagles goes beyond just our club
