Like Simpson, on paper Bonomelli should have more impact then he does.....more than happy to have Simpson in exchange for Bonomelli.....EF needs all the tall timber they can get....Bonomelli never got a decent run of games, unlike some who were persevered with for longer....touch wood for EP he can clunk a few marks and kick a few goals for you.

Considering Bonomelli is already on EP list with Page and Palfrey, and no sign on EF list for Simpson, I will wait n see if that direct swap is on the money.. probably easier for Eddie to go to Subi in exchange for Page....less traveling!

Not a lot of input from the knowledgeable Royal posters, which is very strange, especially when you consider we've just defeated a top 2 team quite comfortably.

I think you would be more likely to get a glowing write up of the opposition after we lose Lucky.  Beautiful determined display and a highlight of the season for us.  Only soured by being abused by a disgruntled Claremont supporter with a moth eaten tiger thing on his head as I left the oval.

Dont feel too offended 2019, that Tigers numpty abuses anyone within earshot. he's a disgrace to the Claremont footy club, up there with the Bogundean abuse crew.

What about the straw poll at half time Royal, when i asked you and another bloke whether we could keep the intensity up,and the answer was a resounding ''NO'' and i have to admit i was a bit nervous as well, but we went on to dominate the second half.So Royal i have to ask,do you feel we're heading in the right direction ???

Yes as I mentioned before I think finals are a possibility next year and I hope Barnard is extended.  We need to bring that effort every week to be taken seriously.  I also stated West Coast would be very difficult in two weeks, I stand by that.

Don't worry about next year,if we keep yesterdays side intact for the rest of the season,we'll be playing finals this season, and Tommy Graham must remain at full forward for the rest of the year, regardless of whether he kicks goals or not, because yesterday was the best we have looked since the Anzac game.

I'd rank yesterday's victory as East Perth's best since breaking the shackles of the alignment.
There was a danger that the boys could've been overrun when Claremont kicked two goals in five minutes to start the final quarter.
However, they held their nerve and Christian Ameduri's third goal soon after really took the wind out of the Tigers' sails.
Having missed some of the game due to some "quiet imbibing" at the club function, I watched the replay last night and was super impressed with our defensive work throughout, particularly in that first quarter when Claremont attacked repeatedly.

Your positivity and sound football knowledge is a breathe of fresh air Archie, and i rate yesterdays win on a par with our victory over the old rivals in 2019,when we came up trumps with a makeshift squad over an opponent who had,in the previous season, played in the grand final ,but yesterdays win was over a top 2 opponent, and we didn't just fall in,we won with a lot of authority.

There was certainly a lot to like about yesterday's performance and wins like that should generate a lot of self-belief, royallucky.
One player who I think has taken his game to a new level, and with 66 senior games under his belt is now one of our more experienced players, is Stan Wright.
With his ability to find a target 50m-plus away, I rate him as the best kick in our side.
And Stan is a tough little bugger and has good evasive skills.
