Along with most of the Royal faithful, I thought East Perth was absolutely kaput at half-time.
Thankfully the players didn't think so and shook off the gremlins and the Peelermen in the process.
In view of the Royals' shizenhousen first half and a modest recent record away from Leederville, I rate this victory as even better than the one over South Fremantle.
The lads were up against it trailing by 14 points at quarter-time after kicking with a 3-4 goal breeze, while some defensive errors in the second quarter blew the margin out to 33.
Jayden Magro and Eddie Simpson were barely sighted in the first half but were key factors in the revival.
It was great to have Jackson Ramsay back and his ability to win the centre clearances set up Magro, Simpson and Co. in an excruciatingly tense 34-35 minute final term.

For the first time this year i went into this game very comfortable with our lineup ,and that we would square up another 1st round loss, but at half time i was made to feel very silly, but after the stirring second half comeback we are now 2 out of 2 for return bout wins with more to come.

I wasn't overly optimistic, royallucky, purely based on statistics.
There'd be few instances of a WAFL team being thumped by 100+ points (as happened against Peel in Round 2) and then beating the same opponent in the sides' next head-to-head meeting.
Ditto West Coast reserves against East Fremantle yesterday in terms of massive turnarounds (176 points, I believe).
Thankfully, the only stats that matter are those shown on the scoreboard on the day.
If Barney can bottle the footy the Royals played after half-time yesterday, we'll have a bit to look forward to in the next two months.

Yes Archie i was very confident going into yesterdays game, especially after our showing against the Bulldogs who were quite frankly flattered by the scoreboard, as we controlled the vast majority of that previous game.Yes i realize they previously won by a 100 points and had 9 listed Docker players yesterday but there were still 7 changes from the previous clash and i felt they were a weaker line up,. as well as you throw in the inclusion of robbo and ramma and i thought we had every reason to win,  although at halftime i was really scratching my head.,and while i'm here Archie i'd like to give you my match day report on all 3 grades who were all victorious and its remarkable how well the game plan stacks up when you have the right cattle on the park.

A rare Royal treble, RL.
Looking forward to your match-day reports, as I didn't see the two earlier games.
Jye Amiss continued on his merry way in the colts with 7 goals for a season tally of 37.
And Sebit Kuek kicked 6 goals in the reserves, though I noticed he had his arm in a sling post-match.

most probably our strongest lineup except for dobbo nand cahill.hopefully we can continue our form and             sneak a few more positions up the ladder.
