Early days I know but I'm tipping the jerkers to win this one. They pushed us in round 6 and we only got over the line by 3 or 4 goals after a very tough battle. This time around we're likely to have Haydn Kennedy, Rhys Waters, Maxy Walters on the side lines sitting next to Ben Newton and Kyle Halligan which is not ideal. Plus the fact they're in very good form and this week is up at South Gero….WP by 15pts.

I'm with you BC......I think this is a definite chance of being our first loss of the season.
WP are in great form and 3 of their midfielders (Nelson/Black/Meadows) are in the top seven for possessions in the comp this season whilst they have 5 players in the top 8 for marks.
Just stats I know, but with Subi likely to have their 2 leading goalkickers (Stevenson and Waters out), their best small defender out (Kennedy....great match up for Strijk) and strong bodies in Walters/Halligan/Newton missing, we may struggle.
One thing is for sure...….WP will apply far more pressure and hardness than what SD dished up last week.

Does anyone know the extent of Waters knee, Kennedy's foot, and Walters calf injuries?
Also did Cockie get suspended for something he supposedly did in the reserves?

hmmmm...not sure I'd be paying too much attention to the named side...Kennedy looked very sore last Saturday and must be in doubt. Joondy for mine especially up at Arena Jerkalot….I'll stick with Joondy by 15 points.

BC, your team has won the last 29 qualifying round games in a row stretching back to round 1 2017. Your reserves are winning. I saw no obvious signs of weakness in Subi's play last week. Injuries seem to be irrelevant as that young lad who made his debut last week (sorry maybe you can refresh my memory on his name) said that new players fit in seamlessly with the ingrained team culture.
Sure West Perth will put up more of a fight than Swans but I can't see any way that they will stay with Subiaco all day.

mikeh: I would actually like to win this game for that very reason -- it will be a real mini milestone for the club.

Just my guy feeling mike. joondy pushed us last time and we only got over them in the last few minutes. their mids are as good as anyone's going around and as you correctly point out we've won a lot of games on the trot so reckon we're due. I hope we win but would be very surprised if we get over them in a canter given we're missing 3 key forwards in Halligan, Stevenson and now Waters....so kicking enough goals could be a problem.

I'm not sure 42...there's no mention in the MRP update on the WAFL site.

Just checked the Subiaco reserves list, Cockie is on it so you would have to assume he either was found not guilty or reprimanded.
