Can you imagine most people getting home and it's pissing down, saying hmmm Medibank Stadium and get soaked and watch a one sided game or stay dry have a few beers and watch a cracking AFL game??

NO CONTEST

Why not have it on a Saturday avo? Lets face it Friday night games don't work for WAFL. They don't work at Freo Oval or Medibank - next year WAFC forget Friday night games.

It's not about abandoning Friday Night games completely.

We've just got to be smarter and avoid clashing with the Eagles/Dockers whenever possible.

If that means playing Friday night when they play Saturday, so be it. If they play Sunday, we should play Saturday or Saturday night. Sunday games are a good option.

Today's game between Perth and East Fremantle will end up being the best attended of the round by far. Played on a Sunday with no Eagles/Dockers match to compete with. Smart thinking from the Perth FC.

If we had 343 possessions to 342 against Claremont and lost by 55 points and had 370 possessions to 383 against East Fremantle and lost by 69, how many possessions will we need for a win?.....500/600?

They're ok when the weather's fine and the crowd thinks it may be a contest but the Tigers are the only team with a smaller support base than Subi and all there guy's would have been at the dockers ???

Should have been sat night if they wanted a night game so not up against dockers and basketball ???

I wouldn't have thought Subi has the second smallest supporter base. In fact, I can see from the last five years of attendance figures that we don't.

rainy night, class with a great game on TV, traffic from Subi oval and the wildcats, works on the freeway....any wonder it was a low turnout. Should have been a Saturday game when you clash with a wa based game on friday night

I think the idea of a Friday night game is there but not when Friday night game is in WA, doesn't happen often.

And not when the NBL grand final is on, thats a another 10,000 people.

Very suprised by the fixturing, just the wrong Friday I guess.

The endevour was definatly there.

2nd average, 3 & 4 a bit better than 2nd 1/4.

We got a bit of the pill (same as last week) but once again our delivery and decision making was absolute rubbish !!!

We also have half a dozen players or more who just aren't committed to a contest.
Give them a rest and start rotating players up like we did this week (Waters,Wortho,Stevo etc) and see if something can work???

At the moment we look like wooden spooners and on current form aren't a chance against the Bulldogs if we play like we have been lately.

Not enough entrys into 50 for my liking.

Parker/Wheeler battled hard in the ruck against the odds. Randall/Rumble had a crack down back and Bristow/Moore/Hampson were having a go through the middle.

We seem to be getting a case of stats-o-mania where some guys look like they are playing better at the end of the night as their stats look reasonable ???

Time to not look at the stats as much and see who want's to have a go and give 100%. There was afew blokes on friday night that didn't go in hard enough after the 1st quarter and that is a worry.

Time for the coach to pull a rabbit out of the hat and wake up a few of the blokes playing like one.

Interested to see how we respond against the Dogs next week.

Fair assessment of the game Chop, massive tallent gulf between the two teams. The highly skilled Claremont players adapted so much better to the damp conditions, I say damp as it didn't actually rain during the league game, but surface was slippery. CL took clean possession and hit targets, something Subi cant do on a dry day at the moment. I think the backs are still ok with the old band of Randy, Parks & Rumba, mids just ok but disposal is poor, forward line is non existent, showed poor skills and lack of committment and work ethic. How many times did we see the backs or mids have to hold up waiting for some movement up forward to no avail resulting in the ball being continually bombed in making life easy for the CL backs.

Colts got slammed but there are some good kids there that deserve a chance and the ressies did a great job to draw with a powerful CL team so plenty of options for Schoey to look at. There are some blokes in the league who are just cruising and need a wake up call by being dropped for 2 or 3 weeks so they know they are not guarenteed a game.

Next weeks game against Souths will really tell us where we are as Souths are struggling as well. Saturday arvo game ... hooray, but forecast for more showers.

LaH if the premise of a Friday night game is to eliminate clashes with the WA based AFL teams what an extroadinary fixturing decision. From my point of view I don't believe there is any WAFL venue which has sufficient lighting to play night games. Also, given the demographics of the WAFL supporters playing a night game perhaps mitigates against older supporters attending. Further I believe there was a Colts' game played at 4.15 or therabouts on Friday - doesn't this represent a difficulty for players who either work or attend school; the parents of those players for similar reason of work commitments. Overall, I just don't see how it could possibly be of any real benefit.

I could not believe the madness of holding a wafl friday night game on the same night and about 1 km away from an AFL game up the road, I mean who was the nutter that planned that?

Friday nights still work well at freo oval, in fact they are my favorite games, just need them early - pity we have only one.

we do way better at the bar on a friday get a few more than Saturday arvo, Sundays are a total dud all round.
