westaussieguy -- looking at your statistics it should be a narrow SD win.

Subi have swung some changes. Good to see. I wonder if Latham is injured? He is usually first picked despite form

Dela and Cockie are the big ins, did Cockie play in the 2's against Cl, I only saw the last qtr though.

SD pace will be our biggest issue so wondering why Matera is out, injury? I know Latham was injured last outing so no surprise there. Their two key defenders have been dominant for them in Notte & Ames so our inside 50's will need to be precise, any attempts to bomb it in will play into those two players hands, Dela will add height and mobility to the forward line and mids, something we struggled with for 3 qtrs against CL. Looking forward to seeing their young gun Stewart who has massive wraps on him. I expect they will double team Ryan but we have some other handy small forwards in Baker & Joyce plus Cockie tends to spend long periods at half forward where he will be a handful for any defender. Mids for both teams are very good so it will be the quality of the disposals from stoppages that may determine the outcome.

Very close game, Swans home ground advantage may see them get over the line.

Two key names in that lot are Sokol and Stevenson. If one or both could go on to become genuinelly good league fooballers -- as are their opponents tomorrow, Ames and Notte -- we would go a long way. Sometimes, I wish Schofield would just leave Stevenson at full forward.

Just remember to leave the car keys in the ignition if you do BC...makes it a lot easier for the locals , doh!!! :woohoo: :silly:

I think BC is overseas at the moment DW, that's why he's not posting. South America somewhere I seem to recall. He would no doubt feel safer there than at Bassendean :P

The old away in South America excuse...that fella will do anything to avoid a trip to Basso.

My thoughts on tomorrow's match. I still think Subi are an 8 goal better side than SD so I go tomorrow just hoping for maximum effort and a quality match..really looking forward to the functionality of both forward lines. Pre season we got smashed by Liam, who stops him tomorrow could be the difference as he kicked 8 that day

DW, both teams are 5 & 1, Subi have beaten Perth, WP, Peel, EP & Cl and lost to flag favourites Souths. Swans have beaten Perth, Souths, EP, EF & CL and lost to WP.

5 of the 6 games each have played are against the same teams, we lost to Souths SD beat them, we beat WP SD lost to them so not a lot in it as far as the record to date goes but the standout is the fact that SD easily dispatched Souths. Mate if we win by 8 goals I'll be ecstatic, but I cant see it based on what's happened so far.

Thanks for your response SS. SD have been grinding out wins so far in 2017 with the exception being the SF game where I though SF were a little off on the day and paid the price against a very efficient team that day. i really hope our teams are closer than 8 goals this year, will be good for the comp but am wise enough to know Subi haven't really kicked in to gear yet in 2017. Tomorrow is a real acid test for our guys up against a team that wiped the floor with us pre season which was only 9 or 10 weeks ago thereabouts

DW if I recall correctly when we play Subi in the scratchie a number of Subi supporters indicated that they were missing a number of players and beat us comfortably. Remarkably SS is suggesting that Subi will go into the match as underdogs!!!
