So i see we were the only CLUB not to have a player in the wafl 2013 team of the year, that wouldnt have happened ever in recent times, are we slipping back into the CLUB of the late 70's/early 80's??? Two terrible seasons in a row we really have to lift our game all round!

Well, we are possibly heading that way DG, but it was only an article written by John Townsend!

But, having watched the Prelim final live - I was quite amazed at the intensity and general level of quality of the game - it was much higher then anything I had seen watching Subi games all year - which is a real worry. I think Subi would have been hopelessly outclassed had we been playing that day.

Very true Singha, but i struggled to see which of our players deserved to have replaced any of townsends team. Yes we would've got killed in any of the finals games, we are a long way off the mark.

Where can you find the WAFL team of the year? Had a look on wafl site and West page couldnt locate it..

Thanks Singa I did see that article and its what got me wondering as John did mention it.. Thought it must of been a WA Newspapers thing

When I saw who had written the article I took little notice considering he spent the majority of the winter in England covering the Ashes.

Did Townsend pick the team? Looks like a few high vote getters in the Sandover there
I dont suppose it would be a huge job just would have to work on positions and best player in that position during the season.

Lots of questions.. Is it an official team? How did they come about it or did one Journo sit down and make it up? What is the source of the pic that could answer a few questions. Is it based on the State team that played VIC with a couple of changes as that would have to come close to our best WAFL in 2013...?

Luke Sanders said on PR yesterday arvo mate in the WAFL wrap up hour that Subi only need a couple of high quality recruits for your fortunes to turn..I wonder if JKT or Hampson were chances for the team of the year?
