Don't mind berenger but can see a case for lockyer. Depends how well he went in reserves. A few players had down games i thought: braut,  Robins beaten by eardly,  soks beaten by jupp. The farrones are going ok. One bad kick stood out. Snadden is a tricky one. Looks good at times. Big body. South kicked 2 lucky goals but still.

missed Golding. Not sure how maxy is travelling the days. Had interrupted season.  Great to see borchett firing. Is there a case for McGowan? And tholstrop? Any chance of Hansen jnr?

With Freo missing finals, only qualified players can play for FART next week so it'll be interesting to see who they get. Hopefully, we'll get Savigni, Kentfield and maybe Walters or Lockyer to come back in.

Having seen Peel yesterday BC, I wasn't that impressed with them. They looked a bit top heavy and at times Swans were running them ragged. Unfortunately we couldn't maintain it for the 4 quarters and some silly skill errors cost us but I reckon If Subiaco can pick a team with good leg speed and not bomb the ball into their forward 50 ,you've got them covered IMO.

What you've suggested Mike is exactly what we tend to do. Bomb it in to Sokol and Borchet only to have it sent straight back out. I've said on here for several weeks when reviewing games that our transition into forward 50 is at times appalling and we need to be far more patient, chip it around, change the entry angles and not just kick and hope.

But I guess we finished second for a reason so hopefully as you say, we have them covered.

I see that Taberner is done for the season with a back injury so thats one tall forward we wont need to worry about.
Peelmantle will have a pretty solid midfield with guys like Brodie, Grey, O'driscoll & Coyler, they have a couple of monsters in the ruck in Reidy and Knobel, so Zac wont have it all his own way in the hitouts but should have their measure around the ground. Kenterfield will be back to add some marking power up forward and give support to Clarke. While I've been a supporter of Robbins I think he should give way to Tholstrop who is bigger and more aggressive, not sure what else Mcgowan has to do to get a gig, was BOG in the ressies again, Maxy had 18 touches so should be in the mix along with Ash, Savigni if fit should be an automatic inclusion, his intercept marking is elite, so an interesting week ahead for the selectors. Long term forecast for next Saturday is cloudy and 20, very slight chance of a shower.

BC your spot on about delivery to the forwards, while Jupp is one of the best FB going around, Sok was on a hiding to nothing the way the ball came in, Jupp and Eardly did as they pleased, either marking of spoiling with impunity, thought the umps gave Jupp a fair bit of leeway with some obvious arm chops and over the shoulder spoils but if the ball comes in better, thats not an issue. We seem to be able to chip and move the ball quickly from the backs to the mids, then it's just bombed in from there, Kentfield will make a difference as he has the size and skills to take those contested marks and is a reliable shot at goal. Borch is in pretty good form but doesn't clunk enough marks, he does make up for it with his agility and is a good snap. We will need to get that sorted and get the selections spot on or we'll be playing EP or Claremont in a knock out 1st semi.

According to The West, FART will have 13 Fremantle-listed players qualified led by midfielder Will Brodie as well as Josh Corbett, Nathan Wilson, Joel Hamling, Travis Colyer, Nathan O’Driscoll and recent Dockers debutant Tom Emmett. It will be a very tough assignment.

Shit effort all round, particularly in the last quarter knowing that % is vital, we were so lucky that we aren’t playing the tiges in the elimination final next week, we ended up only a bees dick higher % than ferals. If old easts had kicked straight (and a lot of them were easy misses) we would have been going into an elimination final coming off a 100 pt drubbing. Not to mention the pathetic lack of effort for one of our all time legends!
If it’s the mandatory 3 weeks for a hammy then Schoey joins our other top recruit Hayden as gone for the year. Anyway barring a miracle old easts have it this year, 7-10 goals better than the rest of the field imo

What's the word on Golding?
You're right SS, Borchett didn't clunk marks when he's out in front.

Not sure JL, but I do know Alone is down for 1 to 2 more weeks, hopefully he gets back and has some time to find form, he was very important before he went down, badly missed
