I have never seen so many skill errors in the one game in my life eg dropped chest marks, kicks & handballs missing the target from 10m away & in absolutely perfect conditions for football too.
Unfortunately for most of the 3000 or so at the game who got their first taste of WAFL I hope they dont go away thinking this is the usual standard of WAFL footy as that game was one out of the box! :(

Just think we have to play Claremont next week.

Your Colts looked good LH ..I liked how they always looked to bring the ball back through the corridor coming out of defence ..if only the Swans senior squad looked to do the same! :S

Some good kids coming through. Hopefully we give Claremont a good run for their money next week. Bloody good side Claremont colts this year. Well, as usual actually.

Good to get a win on the board , especially for Rob Forrest and also for the youngsters in the side. Thought Swans kept us in the game early wasting a lot of opportunities in the first quarter and generally having much more of the ball. They took more advantage in the second quarter but to the credit of Subi they kept persisting and gradually got back into the game with a bit of confidence emerging once they hit the front in the third.
Did enough in the last to keep that lead even though Swans tried to bridge the gap of a couple of goals for most of the quarter.
Agree with others that it was a strange game with a lot of turnovers and hard to pick any as having standout games for Subi. Bit like the junior days when best listed as team effort. If I had to pick probably would go for Moore, McDougall,McDonald Forrest and Parker.

Managed to see the last half of the ressies and was impressed by the standard, good clean footy, free flowing hitting targets etc Subi got out to a decent lead then Swans pegged them back but ran out of time.

Then there was the league game ... what a shocker of a first qtr in perfect conditions, swans had most of the play but couldnt hit the side of a barn mid field or up forward. Clicked into action in the second and i thought How far Swans. Schoey made some good moves and the wheel started to turn in the 3rd qtr, Bristow was at his bustling best along with Forrest, Shuff, Clanger on the ball and Daye & Mcdougal going forward made for some hard matchups for Swans. Last qtr was goal for goal despite Swans still dominating possesions.

First half totally forgetable, second half was much better with great tackling pressure and a few more avenues to goal. Youngsters were great value again and i think Ray Daniels enjoyed the late goal in front of the Swans members, great unheralded pick-up a real goer even without the fabulous mullet!! Tigers next week promises to be a very different story but all we ask is that the boys have a real dip for 4 qtrs put as much pressure on them as possible and see what happens
