I am not sure if any of you guys actually watched the game but it was certainly NOT lost in the ruck, the SA ruckmen was quite mobile for his size and clean with the ball but didn’t seem to get it as much as our 2 rucks so he was a surprise choice as the FOS Williams Medallist I thought Barry, Wilson, Tropiano, Beech etc were more damaging to be honest.
Gault & Delahunty battled manfully and would have doubled the centre clearance numbers of SA where it lost was just through our poor ball use compared to SA's both field kicking and at goal (16.4 is very good kicking at goal).
SA absolutely carved us up on the counter with electrifying pace and precision foot skills, having said that if only we had have tidied up that area we would have won.
A few scribes often wonder why certain WAFL players are not drafted but you only had to witness some of our field kicking yesterday to understand why they have not.
All ok at getting the ball but it is what you do with it that counts!

bease: beautifully put, all you have to do to see that we stuffed that game up is look at our extra scorring shots; it shows two points: we had pleanty of the ball, as you suggested, and two, we did not kick straight for goal.

It was pretty even in hitouts, disposals, marks etc but they were slightly better with disposal efficiency and we were blown away by scoring efficiency.

AR the field kicking was just as bad as our kicking on goal tbh.
Having said that Hampson, Sokol, Bennell, Nelson, Horsley etc all missed quite simple goals from close range they would normally kick with a blindfold on.
Whilst SA was kicking them from everywhere both set shots and slingshot goals.

South Australia were better when it mattered most , we had quite a bit more of the Roo skin & far more shots at the sticks and could not get the nail in the coffin when presented with the chance.
One player losing a game???? Pure garbage absolute delusion
