How’s the shares and your super looking boys? The Corona virus is the biggest thing to shake up the share market since the GFC in 2008 and could potentially surpass it. Batten down the hatches there could be a category 5 storm coming.

Yep, shithouse 48 hrs mate, was on track for a 130K FY gain, but this looks ugly, not sure how deep it wil run, a bit like the Virus itself.

The outbreak of the virus in Korea, Iran and Italy has sent shockwaves around the globe.

My fav financial reporter Alan Kohler usually throws a little light hearted banter in his report on Aunty but that was absent last night.

I recently opened a CommSec account and had a little dabble on FMG shares trying to ride Twiggys coat tails. Next morning lost 10 cents, didn't panic but down 43 cents 2 days later so I bailed to minimise my small loss. I guess there will be some bargains to be had down the track but like a real estate market, predicting where the bottom is is the tricky bit.

Don't get me started on FMG shares....in 2005 I was working for a global professional services firm and did some stuff for FMG when their share price was 25 cents...fast forward to around 2009 and it's $125. They do a 10 for 1 issue to bring it back to $12.50 per share and the rest is history. I wasn't allowed to invest because of who I worked for but do the maths on what a $10k investment back in 2005 would look like in 2009 or even today.

Yep, prick of a thing has knocked off 17K for me in 48 hours.... and falling.

Yes....whilst I was precluded from buying FMG shares at the time because of my employer, I was also nervous because of his previous efforts with Anaconda nickel and Murrin Murrin.

yep his track record was bad, even lost the old station , ended buying it back

The corona virus will be a blip on the radar compared to the day Bernie Sanders receives the nod as the Democrat nominee, that day will be carnage globally for stock markets..

who would have thought the democrats could cock this up so much, it really is unbelievable.
