No argument from me Mike - but scanning the website is the unfortunate price I have to pay to keep up with what is happening in WA, where I still have some strong links.

The only time that I look at the West is in my local IGA.Look at the front page+back page and place it back in the news paper rack.It's so skinny now apart from Wednesday and Saturday. Most things can be done better online,jobs,cars+real estate.
About 12 years ago when that Nazi Armstrong was editor+chief.They printed some very inaccurate sloppy journalism. Still powerful enough to bring down a state government. Which they have done a few times this century.

I actually purchased a copy of it last Friday, first time in ages.. only as there was specific story I wanted to read.

I’d recommend anyone give subscription a try for a month. It’s only $28 per month, less than a dollar a day which includes the Saturday West which is around $2.50 these days and the Sunday Times similar. You can see the printed version in electronic format if you wish.

I did just that about a month ago DD based on your suggestion. It really is very good value if you read the paper every day like I do.

Good to hear BC I'll have to hit up JT next time I see him at the Lathlain for a spotters fee. I was pretty savage on them when they first started blocking the stories unless you are a subscriber but nothing comes for free is what I told myself and we probably had it too good for a while there where we got it all for free and didn't need to buy the paper.

You can log in to any device to see everything and I love the printed version. Feels like you have the rag in your hands, almost. If you've got an iPad or tablet and turn it in landscape mode you get the double page opening.

No mate...the sporting pages so I can read about my mighty Lions... speaking of JT...I see he's doing a series on the top 5 issues confronting the WAFL with establishing its identity at number 1. Should be good reading and well done to him.

People may not agree with all that JT writes but he's just about the only journo out there that gives a rats about the WAFL so more strength to him.
