Change the date and quick. I am pretty impartial but the partial will win this so the rest may as well get on with it. Fight the important battles.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

Sorry TFF, but I can’t abide people who are so flippant about Australia, Australiana, our history and customs. We didn’t become this great country by letting the whimps nor bullies rule us.

I really am sick of how we put up with this crap. The invasion day twits, idiots protesting in restaurants trying to get the world to stop eating meat, the gender argument in schools.....ffs, what’s next? These minority groups want to change the world into their deluded, skewed perfect world. Truth is the dickheads couldn’t change a fukn tyre!!! 26th was the day, is the day and should continue. Let the aboriginals have their day on the 27th - the day when the British started to set up camp. They can have their holiday then

58 Australia Day is just the tip of there iceberg.

The thing that concerns me with all this is that the bleeding heart brigade won't go away until it's changed. Then there will be all sorts of others jumping up and down because they don't agree with the alternative date. As I said at the outset...I don't care either way but you can be rest assured there will always be someone who has a problem no matter what the outcome.

the whole thing is irrational -- why would celebrating it on the 25 or the 27 January make it any less an invasion? Overall, despite the displacement and death, the pioneers did a good thing setting this place up, which today's generation of Aboriginals benefit from.

If you want to acknowledge the different Aborginie traditions on this continent, then create a 'Mabo Day'.
