Brilliant post Southerner. You have nailed it. The corporatisation of footy has fed the infiltration and insidious influence of an ever expanding AFL bureaucracy and praetorian guard of media flunkies and other parasites feeding off the elite comp. All competing to further mangle the game. Meanwhile those tiers below live off crumbs.

Couldnt agree more guys. Think the only pure sport now is the amateur grade competitions where people just play for the love of the game.
