One of the local icons in the 70s and 80s. former EFFC league footballer and TVW 7 Personality on World of Football, and of course a Tennis player and more known as a coach, ( I was one of his students ).

Later a MP down Mandurah way. Unfortunately he undid all his good work by being one of the prime movers in the Peel debacle.

Quite liked his commentary back in the day which added a bit of colour and background to the player involved eg....here with the ball now for the Southerners is Stephen Michael the 25yo truck driver from Kojonup.
Have a listen to his call of the early part of the 1981 WAFL GF where Basil Campbell of SF introduces himself to Barry Beecroft of CL....it is quite humorous.
I believe one of his grandson's currently plays at EF.

Sad to hear of Arthur Marshalls passing, blue n white man thru and thru....another personality of that WAFL era pre WCE heads out the side door......yep young Tom keeping the Marshall name alive down at EF.

I remember as a kid him calling a game and referring to Benny Vigona as Benny Vagina, it won the bull of the week comment in the football budget the following week where they picked the most humorous comment from a commentator.
