Worse thing is the elderly are getting hit the most, retirees losing their discounts, and with the massive increase in Power Service Fee there is nothing you can do to reduce it.

To me its just out and out lazy government, hitting people to subsidise the ASU promise with Western Power,

But the thing that's stupid about it , is it raises bugger all ...$60 Mill a year is a pittance , but hurts a lot of people, its not even close to solving the problem , they seriously need to make some big decisions about how to raise some big money, the Western Power sale would off raised $4 Billion is one hit and smashed down the principal and interest repayments for the State, that and the Port Sale another $2-3 Billion and we could of been a long way out of the crap.

This decision could cost the ALP the next election; jesus wept, you pay your taxes all your life than you can't get government concessions when your old.
