Lets hope the ACCC throw the book at these assholes trying to cash in on a pandemic. Same goes for masks and hand sanitizer though that seems to be in plenty supply nowadays but i remember retailers asking ridiculous prices for it.

The question needs to be asked, at $3 a pop why can't the government buy them and make them available for free? There would need to be a registration system to stop low life's stock piling them and probably flogging them online. Even if we have to pay 10 bucks everyone can afford that.

In previous times they would be prosecuted as black marketeers but Coles, Woolworths and IGA have all been doing the same for years and especially during the pandemic and not a wimper from the ACCC

Maybe if SloMo didn’t gift $30bn of taxpayers money to millionaires and fatcats who didn’t need it through Jobrorter there’d be plenty to pay for free tests.

And the notion of the ACCC prosecuting profiteers Is just a fairytale. Public regulation of the private sector in this country is shat.

there is a couple of things that need to be done - postage or shipping costs need to be free to allow it
test kits could also be posted to residents addresses or delivered to doors to get a signature (this makes sure there isn't a toilet paper type debacle we've all seen in supermarkets)
or we could have a Census style delivery service where everyone in a household gets their allotment each
I just hope the greed factor doesn't appear where they vanish too quickly but as DD states you wouldn't mind paying a fair guaranteed price for each kit

Spot on, that was an absolute disgrace and sticks in my craw. That will be the number one reason why I won’t vote for them next election. A total obliteration of tax payers hard earned money for people that didn’t need it and their reasons for not repealing it if they couldn’t prove they qualified for it were pathetic, they basically said it might have acted as a disincentive for people to apply for it in the first place.
