Not many of them will be queuing up for WAFL Grand Final tickets.

I bought mine on Sept 3 in a boxed area in level 3. Paid a bit more but still only just over $30. Bargain. It says Sports Lounge so not sure what that means, it is right next to the box I sat in at the Geelong v GWS game but that didn't say Sports Lounge. I am guessing they want the lower deck filled to capacity before they open the upper deck general admission areas.

They don't want to have to open up bars and food outlets on the top deck for a sprinkling of spectators but maybe they just don't open them and you have to go down a level to get food and drink.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

It will be empty bar 10,000 or so on the lower level.

Just factor this is, 130,000 perth people tried to get 10,000 tickets to the AFL GF, yet we have to close 70% of Optus for WAFL GF just to fill the lower section at dirt cheap prices, tells you all you need to know,

I’m confused what you wanted Optus Stadium management to do - remove all the corporate hospitality boxes and function rooms and just sell premium seats to the public at minimum cost?

The G with 100k capacity has no tickets available to the public for the GF - everything goes to MCC members, corporate packages or AFL club member allocations.

We’re lucky 10k seats were made available. As you said it’s a once in a lifetime opportunity so demand was always going to be through the roof.

Still more likely (and cheaper) to get a GF ticket at Optus than book a summer holiday on Rotto!

Spot on with the above re MCG AFL GF's TT.
The only thing you missed was the AFL members as well who have the outer wing in the Great Southern Stand directly opposite to the MCC members.
No actual real footy supporter goes to an afl gf unless you are a member of a competing club or know someone who is and even they are capped at 10 or 15k for each competing club.
At least at Perth Stadium they gave 10k to general admission but in true afl style they probably charged a fair bit more per ticket and box, suite etc to cover the 40k capacity less than the MCG!

still corperate tickets available with cat 1 seats and a lunch at crown on the friday.
$2400 per person.
bloody expensive long friday lunch!!
2 adults, 2 children, two nights at a Rottnest chalet with a pub dinner.
not much change from $2K and that was 25 years ago!
