ScoMo is going to send these two to the back of the class to suck their thumbs. Their political careers are as good as over, the clock is ticking. My guess is both will resign before the next election rather than suffer humiliating defeats in their electorates.

Question, are we tax payers paying for Portholes defamation case against the ABC and is it one or two of their employees? I read last week that Reynolds undisclosed financial settlement with Brittney Higgins was NOT paid for by the tax payer.

DD I would suggest that there is a fair bit of backroom stuff going on at the moment with the Libs, WA would have effected there perceptions of where they sit and they cannot have Portly and even more Portly anywhere near the front seats. I also think the Empty Vessel is also running out of time with some, the crocodile stuff combined with the Newscorp gaff is just another example of his shallow approach to most things and the Libs will need some strength to forthcoming even tho' the rotund oppo person is just abt doing enough to assure the Libs of a win!!

So you've decided that Porter is guilty then? No evidence, no interest from the police, just the rabid dogs of the Media corps, particularly the ABC that have crucified this bloke and his career, what a great country we live in, the press have turned the treasured ideal of innocent until proven guilty on its head. The fact that the media have done such a savagely complete and comprehensive demolition job on Porter leaves Scomo and his government with no alternative but to bow to this relentless media pressure. The media, at least some segments of it really need to be held to account, cant wait till some slimy journo roots some poor female and gets allegations thrown at them, it wont get 1 line or 1 minute of coverage because they believe they are above the law.

Where in this topic or my post has there been anything pointing guilt? Unlike your topic that’s been removed by admin I think was titled Federal Minister alleged rape then spend your whole subsequent posts skirting around telling us how important it is not to talk about it. 

It’s simple, guilty or not people’s perceptions will decide at the next election if they trust him or not, if he runs which I doubt. Ditto Reynolds. Everyone has a right to their thoughts, impressions and opinion.

Where did I say he was guilty, Reynolds is of just being dumb, the party machine will want both of them away from the focus and this is one way of doing it. The Empty Vessel will need to do a lot more and better dancing to win some voters back!

Absolutely 100% correct Grump, guilty or not these two are now damaged goods to the party machine and the cabinet reshuffle is the first step to getting rid of them altogether. People call him Scotty from Marketing, well Scotty is now calling on his marketing skills to fend off the media to condemn and defend and pretend he is standing by his ministers while privately underneath he is fuming.

And the media have been hounding him about when he will make these announcements which they said was due yesterday. I’m guessing Porthole isn’t happy about losing the AG portfolio and is chucking a little tantrum.

Both West Australians thats another blow to us if it happens.

Do you think that there maybe a bit of oh well we aren't going to do well in the West next time around so cutting the loose is not a big thing or is it just a coincidence.

To me the saddest part is that the loud mouthed hairdresser ( and I apologise to any hairdressers) keeps her spot when realistically she does more harm than good.

Possibly Grump, but I just dont think WA has much say about the place at the best of times,

The person formally known as the AG of Australia has lost in his attempt to keep the ABC's defence hidden. Seems that he was happy for his to be made public but not the ABC's. Oh well his assertion that he was tried by media will now have to be proven beyond reasonable doubt has just got a little more difficult.
