And yet the afl plans to forge on with its season albeit a reduced 17 game season, totally bizarre...but what can you expect from a VIC run comp!
Oh and they are still going to go ahead with this "mini draft' to pick up state league players if any of their players contract coronavirus...I smell a rat!

What's an "AFL State CEO"? We don't have one here unless they are referring to the pool guy, Gav "Lickspittle" Taylor. Doubt they would have consulted him anyway as his answer would have been a giant, fawning "YES" (probably before he heard the question) to anything coming from AFL House. Probably just gave him a pat on the head and put him back in the box.

Do you think that maybe the AFL clubs here and in SA etc 'suggested" to the state leagues that you need to shut down so we can play and pinch your players and therefore maintain the flow of dollars to the state leagues and if you dont you get stuff all??? Wouldn't put it past them. The cynical pricks see the state leagues as competitors in the market place FMD!!

SS that is what people suspect; in the long run their plan will failure because the Commonwealth and WA governments will close everything down in winter.

It's a clumsy typo omission of words

Should read:

"The AFL wishes to advise that following a meeting with the AFL and State CEOs a collective decision has been made to postpone the operation and/or the commencement of each premier State League and national and state talent program across the country."
