Of course self isolation is not working. For example all those chinese university students that needed to quarantine themselves for 2 weeks before being paid to come back here. And we since find out that a lot of them were simply partying on together whilst they were in there quarantine period. Not having a go at uni students, but one needs to ask questions after hearing that. What about the guy in Hobart that goes night clubbing when they knew their positive result. Or the guy that flies to NZ when knowing full well they shouldn't have?

Of course it is going to shambolic, it relies on everyone to do the right thing something we all know is never going to happen in this country.

We don't have system that allows the government at any level to enforce it without expecting you, me etc doing the informant role.

The other reason it not work is because very few of us will do it, we can't even follow road rules, centrelink rules or those from the ato let alone simple things like having dogs on leashes or not on dog free beaches. We are Aussies and it is not in our culture to follow rules like this!

BUT and it is a big but the government has to be seen to be doing something and like Scott Marketing and the invisible man they are working on advice from their experts none of whom have ever had to deal with anything this in their lives. I just think we need to do what is required to ensure that those around us who are at most risk are safe and care for!
