Lucky for Fremantle they he didn't cost them and he is only on a one year contract.
This is a thing that concerns me with Morabito>thought I think the kid has heaps as a player his proneness to injury worries me.With knees, as he has had,it seems that hamstring softness comes with the recovery.Hopefully he can and will give us something.I wouldn't expect to see him wear the Purple until at least mid season providing he has a successful return to the WAFL.
But good luck to them both.

Probably a bit dramatic to say his career might be over but it certainly is a concern. 12 weeks at this time of year is not as bad as if it had happened in June. If the predictions are right he should be back playing WAFL by late May which leaves plenty of the season

Gumbo, that's dirty rotten luck you poor bugger - goes to show life can be so bloody unfair. Still, there's light at the end of the tunnel - come back to the Sharks - we'll look after you better

Yeh, for some reason I was thinking that he was an EF boy...wrong again! Having read a few comments about him breaking down again, it comes across as "well it doesn't matter, he didn't cost us anything". A bit ruthless I thought - the lad probably needs support at this stage - not "oh wells".

When he has battled to get a full season in, in what 6 years or so on lists , the black line through the name will come, be it fair or not.

Just pure bad luck for Gumbleton, his body will not stand up.

As was the case with Lee Walker, injury has robbed us all of enjoying watching these 2 fellas star in our national game. Every generation has hard luck stories but in my time watching footy these 2 are the guys I feel for most. Both would have proven themselves to be amongst the elite few if not for constant injury.

Feel a lot more sorry for Essendon...they used a number 2 pick on him and all they got was 7 seasons (3 of those he didn't play a game, 3 others he played less than 8 games....with one "successful" season of 17 games). Definitely not what you want from a number 2 pick. But hey....every club has good and bad luck....just like very player has good and bad luck.

Am hoping Gumby can overcome these issues, he is only 26 this year....as a key forward his best footy is right in front of him.
