Duffield suggesting Hogan may be an idea in Freo's depleted back line. I like the idea. Remember Tarrent doing very well there when he was struggling up forward. Not necessarily saying Hoges is struggling up forward but has been struggling to get on the park. Make it happen i say.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!

According to JLo last night Hogan wants to play there and they played him in the back line in a scratchie against Hawthorn yesterday. Was asked if he's ready he said they have limited opportunities to give him practice so they'll just chuck him in there at some stage and back him in saying he's got good football smarts and reads the play well.

But he still sees him as more value up forward, will only be short term until the backline regulars return.

Another step forward last night for the young emerging midfield and Mitch Crowden showed he belongs in that discussion. Probably Andy Brayshaw's best game so far with 33 possessions and Adam Cerra's ball use was first class.

They didn't quite make the most of their opportunities last night and the winning margin should have been a lot greater.

Hogan wouldn’t be in the starting lineup in most of the top teams. I think Freo should give him a run down back, the only way is forward towards your goals. Who knows, it could be the making of him. I played all round the ground in my day and found backline the easiest. Maybe it would take a bit of pressure off him.
