Hi All, did anybody manage to get to the AGM last night. What info came out.

Frank, I attended the meeting last night. 13,000.00 loss due to a late invoice received for the F&B function so the accounts had two functions in the one year. New clubrooms will be complete June 2017. Falcon friend memberships offered at $30.00, my mate has signed up. Jordon Mills and Shane Bonney have retuned. Leeson is training with us. It was interesting that the Presidents lunch are run at a loss. Chris Keunen and Andrew Strijk received life memberships. We make a good profit on international day and that's about it.

Winger, this is a serious query not my usual poke abt VW and JCC, will WP get the proceeds from the new rooms or is just another rort against you, also I am assuming the rooms will be on the eastern side so will be looking into the sun at league game time, will you get new change rooms and a gym so that the visitors rooms will be where you are currently.

The new building is more on the south west side were you enter the ground at the moment, as far as I know the club will get all proceeds from this new building, what ever it is will be far better than the current arrangement

Just before the preliminary final the president was in the paper proclaiming a $100,000 windfall for hosting that one game. So we made that and still made a loss this year? Are they running the club so close to the line that even a $100,000 cash windfall doesn't see us make a profit?

Sorry can't accept that "two functions in one year" excuse, what football club run functions at a loss? Two functions in a year should see a bigger return. Do they realise they are running a WAFL club and can't functions like the presidents lunch at a loss just so the president has an outlet to stroke his ego? Someone needs to tell him he is not Eddie McGuire.

To top that off we lose a very important senior player because after he was selected to play in the grand final he was latter dropped from the team because the coaching staff was told the player he replaced can not be dropped.

The people running the club are hiding their failures behind smoke and mirrors and getting away with it. Would have loved to be there for the AGM but a midweek timeslot is not best for the country members & supporters (no suprises by this club).

Good luck to Shane Bonney, played well in the GNFL last year, especially during a purple patch mid year. Seems they have their token country kid now that Crispy has gone.

JD I really don't know why you even bother to support WP. You are always whinging about something at the club and never have anything positive to say.
You obviously have an axe to grind.
Maybe you should ring Mr Raponi and ask him to hold the AGM on a weekend just for you.
I can't get to the AGM either so I ask the question to who has attended the meeting for info.
As for the player who didn't play in the final, if it was Jordan Jones it would have big gamble as he didn't play all year
