Agree on most of your points Bazza... Lets go back to the WAFL running the WAFL comp and let the Dockers and Eagles have their own licences and run their own race.
The new stadium will be run by the WA GOVT and not the WAFL.
Love the idea of making the Leeches at the AFL having to pay more... Lets not forget the AFL actually tried to buy the 2 WA AFL licences themselves.. Maybe take that path.
Piss of the WAFC and create another WAFL organisation using the current structure but without the Dogs of Commissioners that are running the WAFC and have vested interests and past histories (in most cases with the AFL sides)
As you say the funds obtained would go back into the WAFL coffers to promote Football in WA at all levels and development.
From Wiki just to clarify exactly what the WAFC is and does
The WAFC was formed in 1989 to manage the sport in Western Australia. The commission is registered as a not-for-profit association.
The commission assists in administering the West Australian Football League and is the owner of Australian Football League teams Fremantle Football Club and West Coast Eagles.[1
The WAFC operates Patersons Stadium, Western Australia's largest stadium
Heres the commissioners

AND THEIR Role
www.wafootball.com.au/wafc/about-us
Interesting that it says in part
The WAFC plays an important role in funding the ongoing development of football in all communities. This ensures that football is the
best resourced sporting code in the State and can have the most active role in building better communities through various development programs. unquote
Best resourced they say... Gee WP are certainly not being able to use their iniatitive to resource their club..
Some have short memories... REMEMBER THIS..

ONE PARAGRAPH JUMPED OUT AND HIT ME... SO THE WAFC WAS TALKING TO 9 NO MENTION OF 7????
What came along???. something smells
The para in question... article dated
6 JULY 2013
·Negotiations between Channel 9 and the WAFC over next year's WAFL coverage have been extended until the end of the month.
SO the WAFC Claims they advised WPFC of negotiations with CHN 7 before WPFC Took up sponsorship with CHN 9 ... ok Lets look at the time frames
WP signed Channel 9 on as a sponsor on Feb 28 2014
WAFC Signed the contract with CHN7 on 7 March 2015
The WAFC was negoiating with CHN 9 in Jul 2013 and extended the negoiations for another month!!!!! SO AT THAT TIME THEY WOULD OF HAD NO REASON to warn WP on the 7 negotiations.
Hmm so when did they negoiate with CHN 7???? September 2013???? after the 9 negoiations?????
If you can catch my drift the WAFC must be incorrect re advising WPFC of CHN 7 actually getting the broadcast rights... (had they already decided on 7 but went through the Negotiations with 9?????????? ) Naughty
