Its also newsworthy to consider that this Bullying nightmare has found traction in Sth Australian, Victorian, NSW and National newspapers - albeit by the re posting of particular journos threads and columns but the traction remains the same and 7 comes off second best

Latest from the West today Saturday 29 Aug..

From the game today I understand where the WPFC has been thrown an ultimatum from the Governing body being the WAFC ... Better known as the WANKERS.
The WPFC will advise the WAFC to do their job and accept responsibility for the fiasco and they are to make the decision.
It is obvious the WAFC does not want to make a decision and will not RESPOND to media interviews. ABC and 91.3 are 2 I have heard this is the case. I suggest the same applies to 6PR...

Now the way I see it is The WAFC determined that Channel 7 would do the broadcast and did NOT follow the proper procedures. I am sure it it came to a court case which we dont want this would be the findings..

2nd point is the WAFC are paying Channel 7 1 million dollars to televise the WAFL.
Channel 7 is not paying the WAFC to show the games.
So having said that it is obvious that the WAFC has employed Channel 7 to telecast WAFL GAMES not vice versa. This means the WAFC is the dominent partner and the customer of CHN 7... SO WHY DOES CHANNEL 7 HAVE THE RIGHT TO DICTATE TO THE CUSTOMER WHO ARE PAYING FOR A SERVICE.
The WAFC have contracted Channel 7 at a cost to them for 7 to broadcast these games.

The Contract between CHN 9 and WPFC was signed 12 months before the "contract" between 7 and the WAFC. So CHN 7 were fully aware that a WAFL CLUB had a contract with another media company before signing the agreement.
Either that or the WAFC did not advise channel 7 of the WPFC and 9 sponsership.

I think McHenry and his board are running scared and trying various scare tactics to make WPFC bend to their demands.

Next week should be very very interesting.

I seriously think the WAFC is stalling as well and hoping WP do not get into the Prelim or the GF and the problem will go away... Easy solution. Blind Freddy could see that.

Cardy, the sponsors are paying McGuire Media and they pay Channel Seven. At the Presidents Lunch, Brett said they are in full support of Channel Nine and that the issue has been thrown onto WAFC lap. Channel Nine are not pulling their logo off the jumper.

As much as I am so DISAPPOINTED in West Perth's inability to beat Claremont today, I am 100% behind West Perth's decision to honour a legal contract with West Perth.

Under no circumstances is it West Perth's responsibility to resolve the current situation as it is solely due to the incompetence of the WAFC. The WAFC should not have abrogated their responsibilities and allow Channel 7 to dictate to them. Mind you when was the last time the WAFC made a decision which was positive for the WAFC?

Thanks mate no one cannot say we didnt try and the injury list didnt look good at the end of the game. I honestly thought when we were 4 goals up it was in the bag for SD.
Cla deserve a pat on the back for their comeback and turned the tables on us which during the season has been our BEST qtr but our bench ran out.
Depending on the outcome of our injuries to KEY players it could be disastrous for the club.

We do have a bit of depth but that depth is running out rapidly.
Subiaco must be Red hot favourites now to win the flag and cannot really see any club beating them twice to win the flag

Just wear some pants this time you two crazy sweethearts. This is the biggest non issue in the history of the world. WP are as cunning as a fox, they couldn't dream of this publicity and I bet you they hope this is never resolved. Good luck to them.

If went full on in the last qtr, we would have won by 7-8 goals Cardy. Bill said at the 3 qtr time huddle that was not interested in the result and to chip the ball around and conserve energy for next week and beyond. It was obvious as dogs nuts that with the injuries we copped we were not going to risk any further injuries, CL will get pumped next week v the Ferals.

Only real disappointing thing about the game (other than some key injuries) was that Swans will not participate, not our problem though !
