I think it would be fair to say that unquestionable and indisputably the leader in that race by the length of 2 Flemington straights is Schloithe from Sth Freo.

you got that right 42...according to the WAFL website he's received 77 so far this year with ROB the next best on 47. thats bloody amazing....

For the record BC he got 10 free kicks against Peel 2 weeks ago and 7 free kicks againnst Swans last Saturday!!!!!!

So is it his fault he gets the frees or the umpires?

i have no doubt whatsoever that some are warranted but 10 free kicks in a game is just bullsh*t. do you happen to know what the majority are for? high tackles or mainly just run of the play type stuff?

if they're for high contact and he's doing a selwood and dropping his knees or raising his arm over his head and forcing the tackler to get him high then i say it's the umpies fault. if he's an in and under type player and they're for run of play stuff like pressuring the ball carrier then i dont have a problem. neates last weekend against subi was throwing his head back whether contact was made or not the umps fell for it every time.

The first three frees he got against Swans were all for high contact and all three inside South's forward 50 m. Supposedly, the 10 frees were out of a total of 18 for that day and 7 out of 13 against Swans.

Full Preview of game by Chris Pike

Full article at westperthfc.com.au/news/7191/round-22-preview-v-claremont\

In short

WEST Perth might not be a chance of making the finals coming off winning last year's premiership, but a win on Saturday and the Falcons will not only end Claremont's finals hopes, but also replace the Tigers in fifth position on the ladder.

Without question, West Perth will be wanting to finish the 2014 season off on a high note and having won a tight battle with Peel last Saturday in Mandurah, another win over Claremont on Saturday with Perth to come in the final round could see the Falcons do that.
The Tigers scored a 12-point win at Joondalup's HBF Arena back in Round 2 with the Tigers kicking the only two goals of the final quarter before torrential rain poured down.

The Falcons then hit back with a nine-point victory over the Tigers at the Showground in Round 11.

Steve Potente goes out of the West Perth side that beat Peel Thunder in Mandurah last Saturday after his second game back in the league team following a knee injury.

Corey Chalmers, Ben McNamara, Joe Morrow and Drew Rohde are the four players fighting to come into the West Perth line-up to take on Claremont.

Last week in West Perth's big reserves win over Peel, Chalmers collected 13 possessions, McNamara had 14, Morrow 15 and Rohde 16.

Interesting day of footy in beautiful weather. No major drama's

Colts went down to a good CLA side and still have a chance if they can win next week by a BIG margin. The Colts boys should hold their heads up as they certainly did well to get where they were at after some big losses to the side this year. They have shown they are future League footballers in our club by their efforts and there ability to just keep trying and doing the hard yards for the club

Reserves Went down today with a very depleted side from previous outings due to a lot of the key players being elevated to the League through injury. Has give a few a chance to show their wares and all good as in the finals we will have a full strength unit again.
Reserves players who are currently playing in the league for experience and others who have been elevated earlier due to performance in Reserves and doing a good job are

Kris Shannon
Marcus Adams
Drew Rohde
Luke Meadows
Cory Chalmers
Braydon Antonio
Benjamin King
Matthew Johnson
Seva Martin
Mitch Van Berlo
Max Alexander

Now that is a pretty impressive list who started and played a lot of reserves and they will come back to play in the Finals.

The Reserves were missing a lot of those players today but still put up a good effort. The unfortunate thing is a lot of players who played today will miss out on finals when these players come back.. That is football and the way it goes as you can only field your best team and the guys listed above played the majority of their game in Reserves this year..
Hopefully we will retain 2nd spot so some that miss out in the first final will come back for the 2nd game (if we lose) and then onto the GF where we will have our best 22 in.. We have to keep that second spot for that to happen.
Would love to see all the Reserves players who have put in max effort and are worthy of a finals game getting one.

Nightmare for the selectors this week as we have to field a League team and with injuries a few reserves will have to play. Hopefully with Hunty comming back and possibly a couple of others we will be able to put a strong team in against Perth who even though in 7th spot will want to go out with a win.

Coaches call and selection committee call and sure they will sort it out to our best advantage. A couple of possibilites e.g Put Acres into the League from Colts and so on. Just food for thought.

League

Incredible game Cla came out firing and then hit a brick wall. We should of won but our kicking let us down. Looking forward to your last game of the season next week v Perth and the farewell of a couple of players being Hunty and Slick.
Lets hope it is a big turnout to see these two great servants of the club.
