Big game for both these teams. EF wanting to cement their top 4 spot and WP wanting to give them a outside chance of qualifying for 4 and wanting to continue on from last weeks success. I really dont want to go into the mathematics of our final 4 chances and just want to finish the season off on a good note and go home with another win under our belt. Saturday will be Ladies day at HBF as well.
Our remaining games after this week are Peel/CLA and Perth.
Tippers have picked WP but they tend to go with the flow and EF with a good lineup will not be a easy game. All the best to both sides and all Grades on what should be a great day for WAFL Footy. :)

WEST PERTH v EAST FREM preview by Tracey Lewis Football Budget

It’s all mathematical for these two teams as the WAFL finals draw closer.
Win all four of their remaining home-and-away games and West Perth could miraculously put themselves in contention to defend their 2013 premiership.
That challenge starts this weekend against the team directly above them on the
ladder and who they need to lose all three of their last three games
to open up that path to the finals.
The Falcons responded to internal and external criticism to emphatically beat third-placed Swan Districts last weekend.
Getting off to a flying start and kicking the first nine goals of the game set up their nine-goal victory.
The Sharks were on the wrong side of their own upset last week when they went down by seven goals to South Fremantle.
If the Falcons are going to make their mark this week Aaron Black, Shane Nelson and Rohan Kerr will again need to fire, while they will need to get their closer
checking players to contain the likes of Sharks possession-winners Brock O’Brien, Rory O’Brien and Mark McGough. The likes of Dan Hunt and Luke Meadows will be
relied upon to keep the Falcons d e f e n s i v e unit together once again.

Also as mentioned above Saturday is Ladies day. There is a free entry for all Ladies who arrive with a paying customer so a bit of a saving.. The Ad was in the Joondalup paper which doesnt really help those in other suburbs. So I have reproduced the AD on here so you can print out and produce on the day.

Last game stats... A couple of big outs from this game in Potente (who is back in reserves so could come up but dont think so as he had his knee on ice after reserves game) Strijk and Kody but we proved last week we can match it with anyone one. click for larger image.
I see Johnno kicked a couple last time wonder if he will be promoted this week? Hard call after the guys efforts last week. Noticed Seva had 42 Hit outs in the previous game so handled the EF ruck.

Yep well I got 1 mate and that was unusual
Strange game footy

I disagree with the STH FREMANTLE WIN AND THE EF WIN on this weeks tips but could be wrong. The tips are done by a computer on known statistics so the human element is gone.
The humans on the Budget tips seem to have it different as well up the page and closer to the mark.

Thats what makes footy so good on any given day your team can win.

Liked this joke lets hope neither side has to do this... :)

Except for Carlton of course
5 days ago ... Mick Malthouse concedes that losing consistently by narrow margins is a problem for a club and is not simply a case of a side suffering bad luck

Teams for Saturday Extended list

Looks good on paper.. Browny in forward line noticed him moving forward lately but a better back man.. Gaudy in the Pocket? interesting.. obviously on and off the ball

Chris Keunen forward with Sev in the ruck.. Good to see Chris isnt having an ankle injury? Sev as I said above had a lot of hit outs v EF last time we met.
Probably gone back to the good old days with Ruckman resting Forward.

Potente back in which is a surprise as didnt do much in the Ressies and iced up after the game? Did play in the last game though. Would of preferred to see a couple of others come in for a run if he isnt 100% e.g McNAMARA, Embley and Money (gotta give these blokes a run as performing well in Reserves)

Luke Meadows back after an incredible game last week. Lynchy mentioned (will he get a game?).. Thought Matty Johnson might of had a chance but another week in ressies wont hurt him.. Shaun Murasic looking good in ressies as well and could be elevated in one of our last 3. Jack Thrum playing well and did ok in League with his runs..

Must of been a selectors nightmare in some ways. Great for our club in 2015

All the best to all grades..

LEAGUE

West Perth

B K Shannon D Hunt L Rasmussen
HB J Jones M Adams L Tedesco
C A Black J Van Berlo R Bartholomew
HF R Kerr M Alexander M Crisp
FF B Antonio A Tsalikis S Browne
F C Keunen S Nelson M Guadagnin
Int. C Chalmers, A Lynch, T Manzone, S Martin, L Meadows, S Potente, M Van Berlo,
In C Chalmers, A Lynch, S Potente,

East Fremantle

Interesting a looks like they have some good players out. Looking at WP and EF sides the money must be with WP. Some good senior players in the EF camp but whether they can carry the younger guys through is a question Malaxos must be worrying about.
Form hasnt been good of late so up to the the team to lift and get them over the line. EF like WP are giving a few of their reserves a run and some have been big possession getters so watch them.
Usual danger men B.O'brien, R.Young, J.Perham, T.Howlett,Bristow

B A Stephen M Jupp S Read
HB J Dorotich T Howlett S Dodd
C S Hancock M Mcgough B O'Brien
HF M Edwards T Chalwell S Henson
FF B Williamson J Bristow J Perham
F R Young R O'Brien C Eardley
Int. M Boyle, T Bristow, D Chartres, J Depane, J Mcnamara, B Peake, J Schofield,
In T Chalwell, J Depane, J Dorotich, M Edwards, J Mcnamara, B Williamson,
Out B Dalziell, T Hooker, R Lester-Smith,

I dont usually get ahead of myself but WP are comming good at the right time and I see a pretty easy win to WP.

RESERVES Playing for 2nd spot if can win this. If the guys play their usual game of hard tackling and play like they did last week not a problem.
It should be a cracker of a game unless our guys decide to have a WEEK OFF like they have a couple of times during the season. They are a well drilled and hard tackling team who can go all the way. I think they will as they have shown they are a TEAM and they have belief in themselve. They work for each other and are certainly Bonded in their aims. Great to see Branchy back. Tim Sutherland should hold the Ruck up as EF are not strong there looking at Reserves stats.. 11 HO to their main ruck.

Not an easy one as EF 2nd on ladder and won 120 points to 58 SF.. LAST START

D Acres, J Batterham, C Branch, K Egan, J Embley, K Fullgrabe, M Geraghty, P Harvey,

S Healy, M Johnson, B King, J Kirwen, S Marusic, B Mcnamara, M Mcphee, J Mills,

S Money, D Rohde, D Sorgiovanni, T Sutherland, J Thrum, B Wilhelm, T Young,

COLTS

EF 8th on ladder WP 7th on ladder still a chance for the 4 if they win this one :)

Well what can you say about these guys... Draw and a close loss in last couple of weeks and would of been in the 4 if had won them both. Their efforts have been incredible considering losses this year. They are showing great spirit and win lose or draw they can hold their heads high.

N Alexandre, A Allen, M Antonio, M Ashfield, A Baker, N Beutel, K Coleman, M Douglas, J Gray, C Hinchcliffe, J Horgan, C Lynch, T Manners, W Michell, T Moulton, B Mountford, D Munns, J Nolan, M Peirce, D Robertson, J Rotham, S Rotham, J Sheehan-Nel, A Smith, J Turner, M Walley,

Don't think it will be a blow out but reckon the Cardies will blow open fourth spot and make the season interesting once again

Hate to keep harping on it Cardy but still amazed how Embley cannot get a game.
Don't see him sticking around next year.

Agree mate I might be biased but I am realistic and looking at the sides and considering the slide Sharks are having at the moment I suspect we have done the old come good and they are taking a dive. Luckily they only have to win 1 and through but not for long. Got nothing against EF and would love to see them get a Home Final.

On the other hand they seem to have a feel for Joondalup and have upset us a few times there over the years. If they do get up it will show what real pretenders we are because after the dominance over SD last week and total control and our players would have to TAKE A BIG LOOK AT THEMSELVES and their futures in our club.
I assure you I would not be pointing the finger at our coach either as his match plan last week was perfect and I suspect in previous games it most probably was as well but THEY DID NOT PLAY TO IT. This week they must prove they are as good as we know they are and just do the job... :)
