League

Total Hit outs in the league are Subi 62 WP 46

Stockers had 49 and Chris 41... so that was a even contest

Ressies - Ah see it now in the Ressies my apoligies WP 84 Subi 21...

Seva Martin 56 and Subi ruckman Sean Bradley 14..

Seva certainly dominated there and a good number were effective.

Would like to see 2 ruckmen in the League v EP as they have some big men and good rucks.. Not my call but seems like the logical thing to do considering Seva's performance and stats especially in the Foxtel where he dominated the Box Hill ruckman. Thoughts on that

You will definitely need to play 2 ruckmen against them they have bigs all over the show

Monaghan wont do it DG and will put money on that. He seems to have this one ruckman mentality hence us losing Frank Stockley :( Good catch in Seva and lets hope he doesnt go down the same path. We have all seen over the years where coaches at WAFL and AFL level get something in their head about a player and WILL NOT drop them whatever their form. Is it an ego thing or a I have made the decision and I dont care what you think.

Ok we are winning games but a couple of tweaks will not go astray as other players must be given a run in the league to give them a feel for it before they are have to come up due to injuries etc

I remember 1 game , I think it was last year, where we went in against EP and Chris did his ankle and was retired hurt at half time. We were left without a ruckman. Not sure but could of been v EP?

Teddy isnt having a good run at the moment and a run in the ressies wont hurt him and also give the just rewards to a Reserves player who deserves an elevation. There are a couple running around in the Ressies who are doing well and proved in the Foxtel as well.

I suspect Chookie will have problems getting back into the league side after the performance of our Forward line yesterday.. Marcus was a good go to man as was Rodda and we still have Mr Magic Slick. Crispy always effective :cheer:

Not calling for massive changes as that is not even logical and our League lineup is one of the best around and who do you drop? Ok have made one suggestion. Razors injury has at least given a guy a chance to prove himself.

I noticed Bill has stuck with one ruckman for the state game in the final side as well after the withdrawl of Johnson from EP.

Just my thoughts.

Cardy just a reminder that you beat EP in a GF with one ruckman. We had alot of talls that day. Clearances are they key, ruckman just have to give a contest.

Really Astro that is a sweeping statement and agree to disagree.
Now Johnson has dropped himself from the State game for "personal reasons" so he will have a good rest before we meet whereas Chris will have to travel and play in the state game. Surley that is a good enough reason for us to use 2 ruckmen e.g Martin

But having said that EP appear to have only 1 Ruckman at the moment who is the backup Sinclair OR any EAGLES ruckman who is having a rest or comming back from injury!

I am sure if a EAGLES ruckman is dropped or comes back from Injury they will have 2 ruckmen :( as they will not be allowed to not play the Eagles player.. Ok they could drop Johnson back to the reserves but highly unlikely..

Ok it is a game by game decision and you have to adapt for each game.. EP are a big side so I would like to see us go in with 2 Ruckmen. Your post indicates the Ruckman is only there to RUCK? How far wrong is that... a Resting ruckman can play forward and give you a bit of height there and another target.. so not a waste of a player by any means.. Chris an Seva are both good marks and do get involved in ground play as well.

Frank re Cameron he is 26/27 and WP are most probably looking at younger players to move up? In the last game Branchy had 8 possessions but that does not tell the story

Branchy is the Captain as far as I am aware and leads from the front. He has a big heart and never gives up or stops. I shook his hand mate after the last game because his second efforts and tackling was incredible and he was an inspiration to the team and any one watching the game. His one percenters turned into 100 percenters on the scoreboard. Proud to have him in as WPFC jumper as he epitomises every thing the club is about.

Can see where your coming from from a supporters view :) as the guy is a WPFC Legend. I suggest he is not bitter about not getting a League game as he knows the club comes first and I am sure he is happy to support and serve the club in any way he sees fit as he Loves WP from what I have seen and read. He is a born leader of men and that is proven every week in the Reserves. Hope he is around for a few more years yet

The above is just my opinion but sure a lot would agree..Branchy never quits

Tx Cardy for the info. Cameron seems like one of those rare breeds who serves the clubs no matter in what capacity. Like you i hope he sticks around and they can win the flag for him.

No worries mate the way our Ressies are going under Paul Sanzone I cannot see a problem with getting into the Finals again and possibly a GF.. Would be great to see them reverse last years result. They are like a well oiled machine at the moment albeit occasionally Paul has to add the oil :cheer:

Pretty sure Cameron is starting to get a few injuries e.g Hammy probs but hopes he see's the season out in the best of health..
Had a look at the WAFL ONLINE for career games and see he made his Debut in 2011 where he played 5 League games and 2 of them were in finals.. Pretty sure it said he has played around 58 Reserves games... Thought he had been around longer than that. Came from the Wanneroo club.

Had to get that NEAFL bullshit off the top... ok spoil it and make a comment :)

Heres the Bernie Naylor medal for goal kickers good to see Slick in the race but watch this space with Marcus Adams after last week I think he will kick a lot more before season ends. I couldnt believe his strength in the forward line

WA Football Scores & News

WAFL R9 League Goalkickers Bernie Naylor Medal
1 Ricky CARY Swan Districts 24
2 Matt BOLAND Subiaco 23
3 Ben SAUNDERS South Fremantle 23
4 Matthew JUKES Swan Districts 18
5 George HAMPSON Subiaco 16
6 Brett PEAKE East Fremantle 16
7 Anthony TSALIKIS West Perth 16
8 Shane YARRAN Subiaco 16
9 Matthew ROGERS Swan Districts 14
10 Marcus ADAMS West Perth 13
