2013 WAFL Season
West Perth finished the season 2nd on the ladder with 13 wins and 7 losses. West Perth defeated reigning premiers Claremont in the 2nd Semi Final 11−21 (87) to 12−11 (83) at Claremont Oval, securing their place in the Grand Final. West Perth would face traditional rivals East Perth in a derby Grand Final at Paterson's Stadium (formerly Subiaco Oval) on Sunday 22 September. Despite a close game for the first three quarters, with multiple lead changes, West Perth would storm home in the last quarter, kicking seven unanswered goals to defeat East Perth 20−11 (131) to 12−10 (82), winning their 19th premiership. West Perth's Mark Hutchings was named best on ground with 36 possessions, 8 clearances and 3 goals and Rohan Kerr the games highest goal kicker with 5 goals.
Andrew Strijk and Shane Nelson would be named dual Breckler Medallists at the club's Best and Fairest Awards ceremony held at Joondalup Resort. Strijk and Nelson both polled 125 votes, with veteran mid-fielder Matt Guadagnin coming in a close 2nd with 123 votes and Aaron Black 3rd on 117 votes.
Marc Crisp and Joshua Mellington were the club's leading goal kickers with 34 goals each. Club veteran Anthony Tsalikis came in a close 2nd with 32 goals and may have taken leading goal kicker had it not been for a season ending shoulder injury in Round 19.
