I thought - Ok - leading up to Xmas ... return to Perth/Family/Home/New Job etc etc --- getting settled again
But now???

Maybe others here have a bit more to say and maybe others have more info on the no-show

But for me, now that training has returned in 2014 and this X AFL recruit has not shown up, I have to wonder......
There may be a very bruised ego if the first return to WAFL footy resides amongst the 'reserves' who are at this time very very eager to become league players

Not the mentor I had hoped for

Growler,He has been training with the club, dont know where your information comes from !!!

Leedy -
I'm guessing you are still on the X'mas cheer ... its New Years now so you might want to swap beverages??? just a thought
My info is Kraks has turned up once after the xmas break to talk to Bill(and other WP staff) about why he's not started yet at training and that's it ....
He may (???)have turned up off the park?, in the boardroom?, at homes of WP hierarchy ....... don't know?

on this line and another's there are those who say he's prepped and ready to go?
congratulating his mentoring of indigenous young ones etc.

My understanding was that his mentoring role extended beyond the indigenous culture to his host WAFL club that is looking after his housing/ travel/ indigenous program and more... I don't see evidence of this at all with a group of players who are at this time bonding and for many doing there very best to gain a spot in the league team.

I'm sorry but I see more than just the altruistic journey being taken here but to what some seem to see as the smaller picture and responsibility ...to the team.

But if you are so sure he's stepped 'a foot' onto the ground before this day - show me and anyone else the evidence; photo, name a single players to confirm, a date he trained or importantly - when he's training in the future...

Growler, I have been reliably informed that he has been training with the boys, he was given a week off recently due to a niggling injury. There is a chance it could go pair shaped due to his recent knee injury and age, the club would have a back up plan in place, I have no doubt. Freeze, the 2 recruits (as mentioned in another post) was a joke, sorry if I got your hopes up and for the spelling error !

Winger wrote: Growler, I don't know how your affiliated with the club but I can assure you that Krakouer has arrived, he has trained, he has had a number of official and unofficial meetings with the committee and players of the club and he looks bloody good in a West Perth jumper and training jumper. He has missed two training sessions authorised by Bill. Growler, would you like to meet me at a training session next week so we can settle this matter once and for all.

No thanks WINGER
I don't think I would be able to find the Training ground you go to or the poppy fields next to them... tooo harsh?

I have personally been to 8 x training sessions pre and post Xmas and Mr Krak's has not been at any of them
So lets see....I've been to 8 and no show - you say he's missed only 2 and that he's addressed the team also, over 1/2 dozen players I have mentioned his absence to have said they don't know where is?

So as you seem to be , I am also confused.......

But lets not discuss reality Vs hallucination any further.
I guess we should now wait until the season proper to see if he runs onto the field with a WP Guernsey on and count how many spectators can spot him.
Unless his mentoring role keeps him from his appointed duties - once again toooo harsh or just politically incorrect

Growler , u will probably find his efforts on the track very uninspiring anyway...I wouldn't waste him on the track, come season proper he will carve it up for u after round 3-4....might even head to a few WP games this year just to watch him in action, his silk will get him by even if he has lost a yard

Meet me at the club, that's all I ask. I assume you are a member, that means you support the club rather than a follower that barracks for the team. This is a very easy fix.

Krakouer was at training tonight, sweating it out with the rest of them. I didn't envy them training in that weather, either.

The invisible man has appeared - for his 1st training run with the team...

Lets cut to the chase, my entry into this Topic was regards Kraks 'no-show' at training pre and post Xmas following with my concern his outside interests might take president over the reality of his being bought here to WP to 'play footy' and to mentor the team members of West Perth , assisting with his knowledge, skills, AFL learning's etc all to make improvements to individuals and then the overall
- then the comments arrived of his apparent continued training with the team(crap) I then took a stand!!
Now that he has turned up I hope he continues to show the correct attitude and make the commitment to this team - as important to his own readiness

As for comments re my Membership status or team supporter I see no need to refer to this at all or give one precedence over the other - this is an opinion, not a class distinction.

Maybe the reason he hasn't fronted is the funding for his "job" is still 6 weeks away and the club can't pay him any money till his clearance is sorted. Krak and missus no money not happy..should have stayed at swans, had job lined up that would have paid his bills :)

Played his career best footy in black & white stripes too MO...why mess with colours that work for you....having said that if he stays injury free he might kick 70-80 goals this season at WAFL level if they put him on performance incentives, might help with the motivation which could be hard to find this year for him...a.new club at this stage of his career after what he's done in footy has got to be hard to shed blood and go to war for
