So - the Ducks Captain seems to think they are the only TRUE challengers to this years Claremont Team for the prize in the Grand Final....

Firstly - 'thanks for the motivational piece' to be read to the boys before the game this week I am sure...
I am guessing there are a great number of WP players and coaches who may differ to that opinion and smiled while reading the item in the West.

Now for our team on the day - More will be made of this once it is clear who the coaches decide to have running onto the park - Have Injuries healed sufficiently, is there a greater rest to be given for the finals week to follow, do the injured need to get their match fitness hour up, do you give a number of the reserves players greater time on the league list??? Its a conundrum

Its going o be a big day for us an I would like to think ALL THE WP FANS will be their to support the guys as I a sure the ducks will have ALL the quackery they can muster to ruffle feathers and peck away at our resilience

It will be a close game, it will be a hard game, there's going to be some nasties on the field, the umps are going to cop a lot but we will do it by 3 goals!!!

Having read the article ONLINE reckon it is a load of crock and most probably misquoted Tallen in some way.

Looking forward to a great day at Basso. Would be great if a few could get down and support our Ressies who have a must win to get into the Finals.
They have had a great season win/lose of draw and full credit must go to them and Paul Sanzone for the huge effort in the second half of the season.
The Ressies are the forgotten heroes of the club and it would be great to see them get into the Finals as they have beaten all the top sides on the Reserves Ladder.

The League game is being broadcast by ABC TV..

What an article in The West Australian not necessarily reflecting good quality journalism. Shock and horror. It is perverse thinking to say the least that one can construe what was in the article to match Growler's take. Without being able to quote verbatim the article I do recall Ames qualifying his statement at least once in terms of they need to win this Saturday to make the finals. There also was a 'hopefully' thrown in to boot.

Now let us examine the facts surrounding the 2013 season. Claremont have lost two games this year. The clubs which defeated them were Subiaco and Swans. Obviously Subiaco won't be able to beat them in the finals in 2013.

Might there be 'delusions of grandeur existing within the words of a few??? and then generally - you guys need to lighten up.

Several members have posted within this forum that they wonder why there is little banter and views from 'others' outside of what appears to be a chosen few - I would suggest some need to look at themselves with a 'devils advocate' observation I feel for the answer is within the words posted here by those same heads - demonstrate a little time and tolerance for others opinions.

I read more than I post and I am afraid that narcissism is rife here - sadly - and its perception competing with reality.

MO, We certainly dont need Ames as motivation but surely it was a miss quote, it would have been a dumb comment to make on the eve of the finals of which the Swannies are not assured yet !

We will find it tough to win if records are entered into, we struggle to win games after a bye, we will have 4 to 6 ins this week, most will be under done but better for the run come finals time !

Agree Leedy, and really do we actually rate anything reported in the west or anywhere else for that matter. One thing is certain that it should be a fierce cracker of a game this week! Just cant wait to see how the game unfolds. GARLICS have been great this year and deserve their spot on the ladder whereas Swans have been a bit inconsistent. Finals around the corner and hopefully the ducks bring their A game this week! Good luck to sll and lets............GET IT ON!!

Was having a light hearted chat with Tallen after Saturday's game Leedy and can assure you not to read too much in to the article. All thoughts were already on the WP game this week so don't think for a minute the boys will take WP lightly...however I must add was interesting to read the article after discussing how he was looking forward at getting the chance during the finals to take the Tiges down when it really matters...seems to me that it's not only our club's supporters who feel deep hatred towards the petticoats....I will be down at the game on Saturday, as per my promise to BH ( btw thanks for your offer of a lift) so your boys better bring your 'A' game coz I'm bringing the joy
