V Peel, how good was Johnson, 22 Kicks, 22 on the chest, 100% percent hitting targets. What about young Sprigg, 8 hit outs against two ruckmen that accumulated 55 hit outs. Peels inability to play low ground football showed, they didn’t like man on man stuff, it was old fashion football that paid off for WP. Living in the southern suburbs and a love the Kenwick football club with a soft spot for the Perth Demons, FFS, common Demons and knock of the hand baggers, common Swans and knock off Peel. Go West, Perth and Swans.

there are some seriously high odds that would see Perth beat Claremont and turn the finals on their head
not to say it can't happen

Firstly you were spot on with your observations of the Peel game Winger.Johnson was superb with his disposal and a shout out to Darcy Dixon as well.Faded a little after half time but has real talent and will be a good player on an ongoing basis.Secondly Southerner you are right about those big odds for WP,P and SD all winning. It seems WAG is our resident odds supplier but even that might be a big job to track odds for those 3 teams winning.Mind you I would put a tenner on it - not because i'm confident it would happen. It's just the odds would be so big it might pay for a cruise!

i dont think its going to happen for us this year, tall order for swans and perth to win, no disrespect to those clubs but anything can happen. as long as we pull down the ferals pants by 10 goals ill be happy.

I’m surprised you blokes who have lived in an alternate universe the last 30 years, and actually believe your de facto Joondalup club is still the actual old West Perth f.c.,are dismissing the possibility of Perth beating Claremont,or Swans smashing Peel.by 12 goals which would enable your nomadic club to leap frog into the 5 at the 11th hour, but the good news is if you don’t quite make it,I noticed that Red Dot are selling 16 pack Cedar mothballs for $3 so a couple of packets ought to cover the whole squad.

East Perth have actually been more nomadic than West Perth
and East Perth is now located in West Perth

Yes we’ve been very nomadic doggie man,we’ve moved from Wellington square, the WACA, Perth oval, and Leederville a grand total of about 6 kilometres in the last 117 years.,so it’s a wonder how we’ve been able to keep the majority of our traditional metro zones, which is the backbone of any WAFL club, which is something I’m sure even your canine brain can comprehend.

Genuine question RL because I’m interested in your perspective. If after a lengthy due diligence it was discovered that your football club had no prospects of long term survival in its current physical position what would you have done if it was EP?Clearly that was our situation prior to 1993 .Sorry if it sounds off topic but in reality it relates because if WP had stayed at Leederville there wouldn’t be a game on this weekend.

yeah
problem with being too nomadic is that risk of becoming the old haddock that no-one wants

Mr Ness I have no issues with the circumstances that forced you to re locate, which were similar to the North Perth cricket club who also decided to uproot themselves and take advantage of the burgeoning and sprawling new northern corridor, although you can correct me if I’m wrong, your club was in a precarious financial position, and the WAFL board or commission of the day had promised to help or wipe off any accrued debt,on the basis you set up stumps in the new growth area, which was something that made practical sense then fair enough.I don’t know if the North Perth cricket club rebadged themselves as the Joondalup district cricket club straight away, but they eventually made the common sense decision, and if my club who are apparently debating the merits of moving to Whiteman Park due to the increased traffic of teams using Leederville oval, decide to go that way and lose the east Perth area to say the Perth F.C.,then I believe we should forfeit the right to call ourselves the East Perth football club and would have to call ourselves the Whiteman or Brabham Royals, and would see no problem merging the new and old history’s together.
