well bugger me, how flat were the falcons today. man oh man, the ball movement was terrible, they were hitting targets, the targets were the bloody opposition. what about the forwards, not many leads, and when they did lead, there was no separation from the backs. no loose men in the forward line. all i can say is that we were bloody flat with a big grand final hangover. look, i love sheilas, but the young lady who officiated today with the two other maggots, well, to be quite honest, she was hopeless. the poor love, sorry sweety, not a good day for you.

had a bit of a watch of this one - it didn't reach any heights West Perth just could not kick any goals and Claremont seemed to get that goal that kept them clear
umpire 24 was below league standard , there were times that were concerning

Dead right Screemar we were very flat yesterday but being first game we don't have to throw out the baby with the bath water just yet.It was this time last year CL did a number on us and we know how the year panned out! To me yesterday's game highlighted how important last year Hamp was to our structure. He was that second tall when Keitel wasn't there(on the ball) and we just don't have that there at the moment although I think Logan Foley might crack a game after his performance in the ressies. Also,I always thought this year would be defined by what happened between the ears. That goes for any game of football but is even more important when you come off a premiership(the Subi boys know about that in recent times). You don't lose your ability season to season - you just lose your ability to implement. That can be just injury, lack of form or plain old lack of desire.Anyway time will tell and lets look forward to next week.

Watched the game on the tv, the mighty falcons looked tired. I could not go to the game because of a very painful in growing toe nail that has been mended by my doctor Achebe. I hope to be going to the game next week. I think the Falcons have to forget about last year, they have to focus on this year, big heads do not fit through the door.

I get the feeling Claremont might be a better team this year. Ominous fot the comp that they kept west Perth to such a low score.

Watched a bit of the game and Joondy are always a very fast team, fast ball movement but the Tiges made them look like witches hats, very un-Joondy like. Could be post flag blues and expect Harris to put a rocket up the squad. Wouldn't want to play them next week.

Hope you're right SS.It was a pretty average performance but that doesn't give credit to the way CL played.Maybe its the loss "we needed to have "(Paul Keating would be proud!) and we may be lucky we are playing WC this week.We need a statement win not just falling over the line.Hope we find some talls this week because we were one short last Friday and Rotham might be cooling his heels this week.My guess is Foley and O'donnell in.

Was always on the cards, Claremont had a lot more to play for and it showed. Rotham cleared to play this week but I would like to see Foley or one of the other tall forwards that dominated the Rezzies play as the 2nd target up forward. Agreed #24 maggot was putrid, she hasn't improved from last year and the experiment isn't working.
