What an absolute shambles. WTF is going on with this latest dispute with Venues West not allowing you to train at your own ground? According to JT in a short paragraph in today’s West, Swans have apparently offered to allow you to train at Steel Blue.

I thought the whole idea of building new premises was to sever ties with restrictions held by Venues West? It seems they are holding you to ransom over something. After going into administration and having new facilities I thought the whole idea was to wipe the slate clean but it seems problems still linger.

Seems like a very toxic situation up there.

yes but that arrangement will not continue ad infinitum.

Yeh you wonder if they want us there at all, but nice of Swans to offer us their venue.

As I said before we need to find a new home in the north that Venues Waste has no control and is run by the local shire like other WAFL clubs

Falcon I reckon Wanneroo City would have you in a heart beat, always said that Kingsway would be great for you, only drawback is the lack of a special events station tho'.

Yes totally agree Grump, Kingsway would be a good option, we have played Subi there before.

I'd definitely support West Perth getting out of Joondalup ASAP - but it must be under their banner and Wanneroo is the go and should have been in the first place
Joondalup is toxic give them back their oddity and let them play their soccer there

It wouldn’t be so easy to move to Kingsway even if you could convince power brokers to finance it. Community sport is well entrenched up at Kingsway. Isn’t Venues West a government agency? Surely the WAFC should be be able to put pressure on government be it local or state to come up with a solution that gives WP the type of freedom most WAFL clubs enjoy with their local councils.

Your right it is not an easy option but I was looking around for a facility that could cope with a crowd and paying customers and there is not much abt apart from the Wanneroo showgrounds which again is used a lot.

The option could be train elsewhere and play at one or other for home games. Then there is the option of using Leederville as the home ground and play on the alternate day to EP/Subi until a more suitable venue is found!

The trouble is in the mean time the club loses sponsorship and a home base and that is not a good outcome for them!
