It was first, 65 members logged into a program called Zoom and we all had a meeting. Neil Fong chaired the meeting and it went smoothly, no hassles at all. Necessity is the mother of all invention and i suppose that all clubs will probably use this platform from now on for members / supporters who cant make it to the meeting for various reasons, folk that may not be well, overseas or just cant be stuffed to drive to club. Keep well, all.

Looks like despite a loss, West Perth are confident of being able to survive through the lockdown. Great news as West Perth are a foundation club and we don't want to lose the history. Apparently there is some dispute between the club and Venues West over the ownership of some of the fixtures in the clubrooms.

What games are they playing claiming they own $323,000 worth of fixtures and fittings in West Perth's new premises when I thought the whole purpose of the new premises was so WP could detach themselves from Venues West function room facilities and have complete control?

So what is their (VW) aim here? To charge WP rent for fixtures and fittings? FMD

West Perth reported a loss of $85,000 in their first year after emerging from administration.

And the Falcons remain in dispute with landlord VenuesWest over who owns the fixtures and fittings at their Arena Joondalup club rooms.

West Perth held their annual general meeting this week - by video conference - and revealed they had $180,000 in the bank and appear reasonably well placed to survive the WAFL shutdown.

Neale Fong, who is likely to remain as president, was re-elected to the board for another two years while interim chief executive Jim Caffieri was also returned for an identical term.

But the club revealed that it is unclear who owned fixtures and fittings valued at $323,000 at the facility built for them in 2017.

“It was West Perth’s understanding that the fixtures and fitting were gifted to them,” the club said in its 2019 financial statements.

Did WP claim the fixtures and fittings in their 2017 & 2018 financials? or has it just come to light now?

I thought I heard Neale Fong say about a month ago they were going to record a small profit for last year?

Maybe they are still using the same acounting/accountants that they used prior to their financial collapse.

That really is a dumb thing to say as Subi know where every cent comes from and where every cent goes.
Up until 2018 Swans and WP used the same Audit firm, the whistle blowers who have now found cushy jobs at the WAFC changed it all.

I could be wrong trsm and you will probably know better than me but I thought the WAFC made all clubs use the same auditor these days.
