With Jobe likely only to extend his playing days for the one year in 2017 and Goddard slowed down already to a mule's pace exiting at the same time surely this will free plenty of room in the salary cap for the Bombers to have a decent crack at Fyfe for season 2018. Hurley Fyfe and Daniher has a bit of Lloyd Lucas & Hird about it. If Freo have another season like 2016 in 17 Fyfe would only have to look at Pav's career to have 2nd thoughts about staying. If I was Woosha I'd be planning now. Thank them for their service and clear out the old timers like the Roos did at the end of this season and make way for the Fyfester...would be the kind of move that would regenerate our entire club supporter's faiths after the debacle of 2012 (inc 13,14,15 and especially 16 for that matter)...over to you Woosha...dream a little dream!!! :woohoo:

DW, I don't think after two broken legs Fyfe wants to be jumping up and down on the Etihad car park every second week and fresh laid patches of grass and astro turf around the fence.

DD, did he break his leg twice at Subi, Etihad or elsewhere as a matter of interest?

Isnt he supposed to be going to Hawthorn? or was that Geelong? or maybe Gold Coast could have a crack at him when Ablett hangs his boots up? Essendon may as well put their hat in the ring. I know hes a free agent next year and of course clubs need to do their due diligence but I would be very surprised if he doesn't re-sign with the Dockers in the early stages of next year. They have shown enough during this trade period to demonstrate that they are clearing the decks for another crack at the flag in about 3- 4 years.

From a Bomber's perspective mikeh it would be worth a look. All clubs should be looking at Fyfe...he is that good a player and coming out of contract next year...would take a bold move from Essendon to get him but like I stated the kind of trade that would breath a big breath of fresh air back in to the club...lets see what pans out in 2017. My money would be on him staying at freo but no harm in dreaming a little...the AFL is now a meat market where contracts mean FA let alone club loyalty

Gee,on those grounds, maybe Freo should have Boycotted playing at Subi.

But don't get your hopes up.
Let's see, Hawthorn, Essendon,Suns,Neeshies,Carlton,Port. , I think I may have missed a few but gee he will be spread very thin, especially when he will stay at Fremantle.
DW why would Fyfe be displeased with Pavlich's career.Yep Pav never won a flag, but gee he gave the club plenty and thought more of the club than himself. To my way of thinking Fyfe would be the same.
But all are entitled to dream, but just be aware that sometimes dreams turn into night mares.

Pav was a gun and one of the best I've ever seen Anchor but never achieved the ultimate glory...it's a lure no player can deny...a million bucks a year and the chance to don the sash....hahaha why not I say
