PD1899 wrote: The comment regarding cheating was clarified. He was referring to our midfielders not getting back and helping our defenders. He meant they were relying on the defenders to win the ball back and not getting in and helping them out and picking up cheap kicks on the way out of defense.

I thought Clayton Gibbo was one of our best on Thursday night. He got a hand in to spoil or laid tackles or held up opponents numerous times. Belly and Lague were also great (allowing our mids to cheat a little  )
Best on ground had to be Byrna though. We have been screaming for a goal kicking mid for a while and hopefully he can continue to get better.
Special mention to Cary, I had him on my list to be sent back to the ressies and he stood up well on Thursday and earned his spot for another week.

PD,

Your boys have got it together and looked good, just have to cut out the 10min most qtrs where you go to sleep and can't get your hands on it.

I thought I might have received an apology from all those who ridiculed me for breaking the news that Hj's were taking over your canteen.
I now understand that part of the reason is that the Eagles women's team will play their home games at Lathlain and their major sponsor can then be plastered all over.
There is nothing in it for Perth having Hj's run the canteen, the payoff will come through the bar and functions at the women's games.
Then wait for next year when Nisbett wants all the Eagles WAFL home games played at Lathlain.

You get thanks but not apology from me, as I always suspected you were on the money and said as much. I am suss of any arrangements with wce. I thought hjs worked well the other night but wouldn't be at all surprised if we are talking thin end of the wedges with them. Everyone should understand wce should never ever ever be trusted when it comes to its dealings with us.

No apology at all though I do admire your fantasy creation. Sadly for you it was no scoop.
Where do you get your information from? You need to understand that our canteen IS our canteen and remains our canteen. It is true that HJ is a major sponsor of the Eagles but the deal at Lathlain whilst promoted by WCE for the benefit of them and their women's team is of huge benefit to PFC, not only from bar and functions but also from the fact ( which you do not seem to understand) that it is a separate sponsorship between HJ and PFC. This includes use of our canteen and front of jumper sponsorship for HJ. And money has changed hands.
The benefit to be derived by HJ with their signage on our canteen is minimal as it is on the wrong side of the oval for TV exposure. It is true that they also have boundary fence signage.
PFC do not enter into deals at the behest of any outside entity that is not beneficial to the Perth Football Club.

A bit past your bedtime STT and a bit late for trolling.
Do you have any evidence to prove me wrong?
You say you are suss about dealings with WCE. Where is your rolled gold evidence? Suss is not good enough even from a WCE hater as you appear to be.

Umm TRS brought it up. I'm on topic and have my views about wce. Where is the trolling dude? I am not confident about your assertions re contract with HJ.

Smokey, when I first raised the issue of Hj's taking over your canteen, you all scoffed at the idea.
I was right , you were wrong. enough said.
Trust me when I tell you , that when the women play their games at Lathlain the signage on the side opposite the Grandstand will be HJ's .

You have answered my posts very promptly. Don't stay up all night waiting for anything more from me.
Ok, so you have views on WCE which you are entitled to - but nothing concrete that you would swear by except about which you are suss and not confident about. Solution? Go and seek the real answers.

Big deal what is your point? WCE benefiting from sponsorship when their girls play. What is the problem with that and I think some WCE officials might be concerned about where you are getting your information from.
Get on your bike.
